View Full Version : Hotel room nudism

My work often has me on the road, sometimes for extended periods as I have to go where the business is. Sometimes it is hard being away from home, but on the other hand it is nice to see different places and see different regional cultures in our great country (The USA).
Such is the case now and I'm as usual, I'm spending several nights in a hotel room. Something I enjoy after I'm done with work and dinner and I am in for the night is to immediately get in the shower, and then spend the rest of the evening nude catching up on email and paperwork, watching TV and surfing the net with a glass of wine or two even though it is cooped up in a hotel room. I stay nude in the morning with a few cups of coffee and catching the morning news as I get ready for work. I usually get dressed only before it is time to go.
On weekends I always do get out to check out the town, and if there is a nudist venue nearby I will be there sometimes, but it also allows for extended hotel nude time.
I'm wondering if there are any other "road warriors" here who travel frequently for business or pleasure who have similar experiences or stories to share about hotel room nudism.

I sometimes spend hotel time nude, too. One time, while travelling in a uniform, I didn't have clothing packed to go "out," as in seeing the town. I also didn't want to wear that uniform all day, so after a shower, I decided to stay nude. It was more frustrating for me than fun that time. I felt trapped in the room. I couldn't even go to the lounge at the hotel with the little clothing I had, which was cargo shorts, flipflops and tank tops. There was no gym, so I couldn't use that or a pool or a sauna. Watching TV in the nude when it is your only choice isn't much fun for me.
Other times, when it is an option, I have chosen the nude route. And not regretted it.
I don't travel much anymore, but I usually spend most of my time in a hotel room nude, watching TV, surfing the net or whatever. Recently, on a cruise ship, i ventured onto the veranda of our cabin nude quite often, there is nothing like a sea breeze to refresh ones spirit :-)

My work has me on the road most of the time, and my hotel routine sounds similar. But I also have gotten in the habit of checking for local naturist groups and calling ahead to find out if activities coincide with my travel. It's a great way to meet other naturists and kind of establish a wider sense of community, not to mention getting me out of the hotel room! I've also often thought it would be cool to have some kind of online naturist travel list -- I bet naturists often show up in the same cities or conferences without knowing it.

I also did quite a bit of travel for work in the last few years. I always take advantage of being nude in the room and also doing work and answering emails. If I was also out of town for the weekend I would also try and spend some time at the local clubs. Being from Canada, most clubs are mainly open during the summer months. The only drawback is that I would be travelling by myself and my spouse would be back home.

I stay in a hotel room maybe once every two or three months. If there's a coffee-maker in the room (I like early AM coffee) it's a given (at least to me) that I'll take a glass of wine to my room in the evening, undress, work naked at my laptop for a while, go to bed when I feel like it, get up in the morning, shower and make coffee, then work at the laptop until the last possible minute.
No big deal: I'm just a lot more comfortable when I'm naked. But I'm a lot less grouchy when I've got coffee in the morning, and I hate to dress and go out before I've had my first cup, so a coffee-maker in a hotel room seems like more than a luxury to me: I depend on it!
Having to share the room will maybe change the equation a bit, but that's a different thread. In any case, it doesn't happen very often.

If I'm traveling by myself I am always naked in hotel room. Occasionally I may have someone with me but if it's someone that knows my lifestyle and they are ok with it I'm naked. Is there any other way to be !!!!

Actually, I was referring to getting dressed just before leaving the room as opposed to getting dressed as soon as I got up. I've never walked out the door nude. Sorry for the confusion.

I used to travel about 60% of the time. I was ALWAYS naked in my hotel room and any other places in and about the hotel that I could be and went to nearby nude beaches. The Hotel Fontane Bianche in Sicily had a beach out its rear door. One could always go to the rocks at either end and be nude. One day, the whole beach was nude. I had to leave for the airport about 4 pm that day. Really hated to leave.
Skinnydipped in lots of pools at night and sat naked in lots of hot tubs.

We haven't found a hotel room....anywhere, that we didn't enjoy nude! A few have had balconies and we've even been able to enjoy those nude in the later evenings.
It's funny...but we actually try and get "early check-in" so we are able to get to the hotel room, strip off and enjoy some nude time before we head out to a function or event, if that's why we are in that hotel room, for that time.
I have only gone to the ice machine once, in the nude. Figured I got away with it once...I'm not doing it again. ;)
I do the same if I am in a hotel room. Shower, relax and sleep in the nude.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I travel about 10 weeks out of the year and though I do miss my family dearly I also enjoy the opportunity "Air Out" in the room with, if I'm lucky, a balcony. From the moment I arrive in the room to the moments before I have to leave, it helps me clear my head and think better.
And I'm always on the lookout for an opportunity for time on a local beach or time free-hiking...

Count me in too. At least a couple times per year I'm in a new city and I've learned to use Google maps to search for "AANR" , "nudist", or "clothing-optional" venues in the area. Resorts, parks, saunas, spas, etc - there's usually an opportunity to get naked and meet new people.

Actually, I think it was singer Macy Gray who earned a bit of a reputation as a "hotel nudist", as she was spotted on more than one occasion walking through the corridors nude at whatever hotel she was staying at.
But we are not Pop Stars; so I don't recon we would get away with going to the vending machine nude!:)

A colleague of mine did just that, unintentionally, a good few years back. He got up to take a leak in the middle of the night, remaining at least half asleep (as one does), headed on autopilot for the bathroom, opened the door and walked through whereupon the door on a strong spring self-closed and he found himself in the hotel corridor without a stitch on and no key. That story ran and ran in our company and on the convention circuit!

I've read that it's very common for people to get locked out of their hotel rooms nude or in their underwear. People aren't used to doors that spring shut when they go to grab the paper or whatever.

The only time in recent years when I've found myself in a hotel room I've been sharing with a friend - halves the cost - and fortunately, although not comfortable being nude herself, is comfortable with me being nude. When we'd get to the room in an evening I'd usually strip and we'd watch tv, take turns using the shower, and just chat a while before bed, so I'd not have to dress again until morning when we were just about to leave. This will all be repeated in a few weeks when we meet up again :)

I can't imagine anything but being naked in my hotel room. I do normally start the unpacking process clothed...but once I'm "settled" it's clothes off. And then once I'm back from the meetings demonstrations whatever it's clothes off and not back on until I have to. I can't really afford to do the "daring" running up and down the hall or skinny dipping as it could effect my job if I were caught.

Interesting how many of us do this. I wonder if we broke down the hotel room walls, how many of us would be naked? Could it be that each hotel is one big nudist colony without us knowing?

I've done a lot of extended traveling over the years, and have found that what you don't wear you don't have to wash. Especially, since it is almost cheaper to by new than have the hotel do your laundry. And always a nice supply of towels.

I stayed in a motel recently and specifically asked for a room by the pool. This particular motel had windows at the end of the hall looking down to the pool, so even though I was on the third floor I could see that it was empty. I wrapped a towel around myself, went down to the pool and dropped my towel for a nice skinny dip and soak in the hot tub. Later when activity in the building slowed down, I wandered down the stairs to the first floor ice machine and back up... all nude. It was invigorating to say the least!:p

I've always enjoyed the pleasures of nude hotel overnights and always wondered if there were many others.
My office is located in a mid size metropolitan city and my 3 story parking lot is over shadowed by a 15 story hotel. After parking, each day on my way to the office , I usually glance over the side of the hotel building and I would say , about once every three weeks, I'm sure to spot some guest in their hotel window looking out and the majority of the looker outers are nude. Some are wrapped in towels, some do a quick look see and then close the drapes but sometimes there are those who like to saunter back and forth in their window.

I am sitting here nude in a hotel room typing this right now.
It is usually the second thing that I do when I get to the room.
The first is to crank up the heat. It is amazing how many times I go into a hotel room and the thermostat is set at 68 degrees F. This is in places with warm climates.
Will be going to Haulover Beach in the next few days.

While in a hotel/motel room, I'm usually nude from the time the door closes in the evening until I get out of the room the next morning. The only exception was when I shared a room with my Supervisor. I decided to sleep with shorts, but every other time, it's nude all the time.:smoking:

I used to drive from Chicago to Florida every 3 or 4 months. After that long first day of driving, I couldn't wait to get to the hotel so I could strip off my clothes, take a shower and then spend the rest of the evening nude in my room. It certainly was a stress reliever after the hassle of highway driving for 12 hours. After the second day of driving, as soon as I was at my house, the clothes came off and into the pool

I, too, hang out nude at hotels when on the road for work. That is when I get a room to myself. There are times when I have to share and its not appropriate to be nude. But like most on here, I have registered, headed for the room and as soon as the door closes, I am taking off my clothes. I just wish hotels would stop using those window heater/ac units. The heat sometimes doesnt reach all the way to the bathroom haaha

Like at home - if staying in a hotel room - I am naked. It's the only way to be. I don't like my travel to interrupt my favourite time of the day - naked time!

I used to travel several days each week. I always tried to plan my trip to be near a resort or nude beach during the summer months of warm long days, and plan a visit in the late afternoon. But, always in the motel room I was nude from 30 seconds after I got there until I had to go out. If it was summer, I always went to dinner in shorts, a tee shirt, and slip on shoes; no underwear, no socks. Very comfortable. Why not be comfortable?

First time on this website!
The very first time in an American hotelroom, in LA, I was unfamiliar with the fact that these rooms had air con.I arrived well after midnight.
It was very warm in the room and since I was puzzled how to get it colder(the windows did not open) I just stripped off and went to sleep naked on top of the bed.
Next morning I saw a gadget on the wall... the air con control.

I too, am often naked in whatever hotel room I am in. One time, in the morning before checkout, I was considering being naked. About 11:00am, the maid came bursting in without knocking to refill the toilet paper. She would have gotten an eyeful if I had been nude.
One of mine and my wife's favorite vacations is when we go to Gatlinburg, TN and rent a secluded cabin with a hot tub for the weekend. We dress to go out for meals, but otherwise stay naked for an entire weekend. Bliss.

Hello inudist. I too spend time in my hotel room in the nude since I am a single person unless I am travelling with someone. This is especially true at the end of the day and I am not planning on going anywhere else. I have the entire night free to myself as well as when I go to bed. Great!

I'm alway nude in hotel/ motel rooms. Why not. I'm paying for the place, so it's my room while I'm there. I go to the ice machine wearing a towel and with bare feet. If I go to the pool, I'm in a speedo, and barefoot, taking my towel along. No one has ever questioned it, or told me it wasn't appropriate.

I used to work for a Christian organization that had staff all over the country. When we would get together for staff meetings, we would double-up in hotel rooms to save money. On one such occasion, I noticed that my roomie had dropped his shorts by the side of his bed. I commented on it the next evening, and he said that, yes, he preferred to sleep nude. So I then felt comfortable doing the same.
After that, we arranged to share the room, on the grounds that we both snored, so we didn't seem to disturb the other guy -- which was also true, but primarily because we were both comfortable with nudity in the room. Eventually, we would shower, shave with the bathroom open & iron our clothes in the buff.

Isn't everyone always nude in a hotel room? Really, you mean some people put on clothing when they're alone? How odd! We've found you can even spend nude time on the balcony if you hang a towel over the railing. And guess what? Nobody ever looks up anyway. They're too interested in their hustle and bustle world!
