If you upgrade to a new TIVO HD unit, your LIFETIME service plan for the old unit will NOT transfer to the new HD unit. You will have to purchase a new plan from TIVO.
I was very dissatisfied with the customer service I recievedtoday and I will call again on Tuesday when someone with authority can help me.
