I have not seen this question discussed on the forum so I thought I would ask it:
What type of women/men do you like and how, if it all, is your answer influenced by your practice of naturism?
I like women who share my values including religious beliefs, political ideology, and naturism. I also happen to like women with red hair.

As I had previously posted, after my first naturist resort when I was about 24, I was definitely moved the criteria of having a mate that was comfortable with her own body way up on my list, though not necessarily having to be a social nudist. I was never hung up about any particualr body parts or types really. More about the conversation and intelligence, I suppose.

My "type" has always been more about personality than appearance, though there are obviously some requirements than translate through both. For example, I love walking/hiking/wandering around, so generally someone needs to be approximately in-shape (though by no means a gym rat) or he can't participate, which would mean things like travelling or vacations - or even day trips - would need lots of compromises.
Likewise, I've been referred to as having "no shame" by most of my friends - I walk around nude when I feel like it, and I don't generally let insecurities hold me back from doing things - so someone I date has to be at least comfortable with that if not amenable, otherwise it won't work out. That tends to be more about self-confidence than anything else, which is another issue: I've got a healthy ego, and someone who isn't able to hold his own against me is just likely to get run over in the long run.
I think you'll find, really, that for a lot of people here it's similar: their prospective attraction's attitude about nudism per se isn't as a big a deal as said person's other beliefs/morals/issues that likely lead to his or her attitude about nudism. If someone is comfortable as a person in general (socially adjusted, self-assured, generally content), that person's likely to be more open to things including nudity. I think it'd be referred to as a secondary characteristic rather than a primary.

What type of women do I like? .......... Ones that can pay their half of the bills on time. lol. Sorry but I had to do that.
I like women that are open-minded, but I love women that show tolerance for other people's values and opinions.
So no, the woman that I'm with doesn't have a to be a nudist or enjoy nudism. As long as she tolerates my nudity.
Don't get me wrong... women that enjoy being naked are always a plus (even if it's just with me lounging around the house).

This description by pumpkinpie is great an says a lot, after reading it a few times it fits nicely to male or female an a good starting point an goals in a relationship.I find that trust an understanding an quality relationship develope over time an certain amount of time an quality interaction is necessary to develope a relationship. To often humans jump into long term marriage an start producing offspring etc without enough personal bonding.Iam turning 60 this year,i was married for 30 years,my x wife decided to do otherthings an move on,it took her 2 years to convince me were now different,i finally said ok an we filed a mutual agreement an now are no longer married, iam sorrry this happened, she regrets it,i will continue to live on an perhaps a new compannion will find me. No hurry no pressure. nakenone

I'm married and not looking but the first thing that comes to mind is "sweethearts". Also as far back as I can remember I've considered being friends to be a vital foundation to build a dating relationship on.

I agree with you here LamontCranston. Exactly the traits I would be looking for in a lady. Also one who would also be open-minded as most of you here have stated although she doesn't have to practice nudity if she didn't want to. I don't force anyone to do anything if they are not comfortable with it.

I'm 22 years old, since I'm a nudist I'd very much like to meet a woman who is a nudist just like me. Actually it's very hard especially in my culture it's not common. But I still have hope I could meet someone whom I can even introduce into nudism.
My ideal life as I sometimes day-dream about is seeing me nude holding hands with my nudist wife and my three nudist children just beside us. I hope it happens one day.

Although your question is not specifically about dating, it seems as if every one seems to have answered as such.
It seems that most people's answers apply to both dates and friends. I think this underscores my highest priorities in people I like. If you cannot be my friend, I would not want to date you. I like people who are friendly, kind, happy, funny, and love life.
I tend to like people who are sports oriented. I enjoy biking, hiking, bball, etc., and like my friends to join me.

I like the type of woman who is open-minded, kind, confident, respectful and share her joys as well as sorrows with me.
On a more practical level, there has to be a commonality of interests to support a relationship.
My main interests are riding my old Harley and nudism. I also like to work with my hands and with metal-welding, cutting, shaping. I am an accountant by trade. My wife likes to cook and read, and she works at a hardware store selling paint. We go on trips on the scoot whenever possible, but she has absolutely no interest in having her own motorcycle. Also, she is absolutely horrified by being seen nude.
I think we got together because she was in an interior design diploma program and I became fascinated by that. There is also art in accounting work. So there is a connection there, and I love to read.
My biggest challenge is to convince her to undress in a public nudist setting so that we can get more involved in nudism. I have been of nudist mind all of my life. I have been to nude beaches but I would truly like to have my wife with me so that both of us could enjoy the naturist lifestyle more.
If two people can agree on the most important recreational activities a relationship can flourish.

A woman who is confident and comfortable with herself and has a strong sense of adventure. These are what attracted me to my wife.

I have to say that both physical appearance and personality are important things in looking for a mate.
I will be honest in saying that the first thing that will gain my attention to a potential date/partner is appearance. That is the first thing I look for in constructing an impression on someone. I prefer physically fit men. I put effort in working out and I appreciate someone who does the same. That being said, I wouldn't date someone who is obese or heavily overweight.
That aside, personality is very important. Someone can be great looking but there's no substance behind it. I have found that a quality that I really enjoy in a man is humor. I LOVE a guy who can make me laugh, doesn't take life seriously, and sees the glass full when everything else is empty. Another quality is being open minded. Being open to try new things and new experiences.
Before moving to Washington DC from NYC, my ex, who I dated for two years, exhibited both traits. He was a physically fit person who worked out daily and he was the funniest person I knew. He was always positive and always making everyone laugh. In addition, he knew I was a nudist and willingly participated. He attended nude beaches with me and friends, participated in hikes, and even attended a nudist BBQ. Nudism was not something he ever considered but was very open in trying a new thing.

The best answer I can give is the people I get along with. Most of the people you meet are either going to become a friend or not.
When it comes being more that friends then a nice looking girl is my only choice.:)

Although that would be nice...
Seriously, to answer the question, to me it's finding a woman with brains and boobs. No lie. Find me a woman who can match me intelligence-wise (or prety damned close to it), and who isn't afraid of her nudeness...and it's a step in the right direction.
Besides, what's wrong with trying to find that someone here in CFF (or any other nudist site)??:D
Just my two cents on the question...;)

The kind of people I like are sincere, forgiving, sociable, mellow, have a sense of humour. I don't like being in the company of loud, overly agressives, or pessimists.
I tend to gravitate towards people who are likely to be influenced by the same motives and interests as myself, not just naturism.
I am not concerned with how someone looks on the 'outside'.
It is what someone carries 'inside' which is attractive to me!

If something ever happened to my current wife and I, and we parted our ways. I would look #1 for a woman who accepted this lifestyle and also loved to co-join me in the lifestyle. That standing, she and I could have other interest, which makes for a great relationship when talking about the things we do apart.
I would like her to love the outdoors as I do, the beach in much warmer climate than where I currently live, and would prefer to move to say someplace like Hawaii where I really want to retire to.
Paying her half of the bills is all part of family life if they want to co-exist happily in my world anyway.

What do I like in a woman? Someone who is outspoken, honest, forthright, and prepared to love me in hard times and good. I like women who have natural bodies, long hair, manicured, and present themselves well. They need to look like women but be able to fight like a man when need be.
What do I like in a man? Someone who is open minded and doesn't throw his weight around or get easily defensive.

What a coincidence- I'm also into redheads.
While I wouldn't mind having a nudist/naturist girlfriend, I can't say I've met too many women that have similar interests in the lifestyle. Sleeping naked and "airing out" after a shower, yes, but nothing beyond that.
I like women that are creative and intellectual. Being spiritually open-minded would definitely be a big plus; I used to a date a girl that was Christian and she would constantly nag me about why I didn't share her beliefs.

I would have to say that I like people that tend to think like me. That means that they should be nudists, love hiking or being active outdoors, and enjoy life's challenges with out whining. ;)

If something were to happen to Mrs Tree, I would probably have another woman in my life. She would have to be educated, honest, comfortable with nudity and her body and a bit of a free spirit. She would gain extra points for being politically liberal and a pagan/Wiccan.

Physical attraction is understood of course, but in the longterm it's about having the same (easygoing) temperament, the same values, being open-minded and easy to communicate with. For me, communication is key.

I like a woman who is confident about her body, takes good care of it and keeps it in shape, honest, open, thick-skinned, forthright, intelligent, funny, fun-loving, and hates C&W music.

Im totally with you on this one Steve-o! Now, im not just all about the shapes of a woman, but Im not gonna pretend that that is not usually one of the first reason i will go hit on a girl or strike fun conversation with one. Steve-o you mentioned easy going. That is probably one of my most important wants also. I want a girl in my life that challenges me intelectually, goofy most of the time but serious when needed, definitly have or excepct that i have interest in naturism, an amazingly unique personality, and all lot of other things that keep the relationship interesting! BUT, and this is probably my most important, i want a woman in my life that understands, as i do, that change is inevitable. That being said, i want a woman that can a be willing to "grow" with me thru all my changes. Of course, i would like to be that way with her as well! Those last thoughts almost spark a whole other forum thought for me. "Why are divorce rates so high now a day" haha
