Trimming and/or shaving body hair

I really enjoy the neat trim look of trimmed pubic hair... I have shaved some of the area in recent years, only for my wife not to be happy about it. She seems to want lots of hair on her guy even though she is trimmed. Any ideas on how to bring the topic up for disucssion with her?
