Hey, I was wondering what the weather is like in other parts of the globe other than Southern California where I am. I will say out here it was warmed up quite a bit, as is normal for the summertime. Anyway, what's it like in the other regions?

Up here in New England, its been the coldest, rainiest June in memory, and July hasn't been much different.

It's the same in Pennsylvania. Cold, damp, rain, and clouds. We have had about 5 days in a row, with sunshine. However, it doesn't get out of the mid 70's, and the nights are in the 50's. Even the stems on the leaves are rotting, and the leaves are falling off the trees.

Very hot in Taiwan right now.
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far, 36.9 C at the north end - which happens to be the very place where I live.
Today, it was still 36.7 C, but we might get showers after the weekend, which would get the temperature down to more 'normal' levels like 33 C.

Parts of Minnesota had one of the dryest Mays on record. June was closer to normal, and July is starting off good as far as rainfall.
The next 2 weeks (mid july) are normally the warmest weeks of the year. With Normal being highs of 84 and lows in the mid 60's. Dewpoints often reach the mid 60's this time of year with relative humidity being in the 80% to 100% range.
100 degree days are rare here and we average around a dozen days above 90 through the entire summer season.
Days are long with sunrise well before 6 am and sunset after 9 pm on the longest days of the year. Nothing compared to Alaska and other places near the artic circle, of course where the sun barely sets in the summer.
Strong Thunder storms are quite common here, Minnesota is at the north end of what is known as "Tornado Alley". We don't get nearly as many as states like Kansas and Nebraska, but we get more than enough.
Still, with 10,000+ lakes and an abundance of wildlife, it's a pretty good place to live.

It has been very hot around St Louis Missouri, being in the upper 80 ties and 90 ties and humid. Sometimes it hits 100 degrees, but not often. We of course have to turn on the air conditioner. The late evenings are usually much more tolerable.
I would like to go to a nudist resort near the Lake of the Ozarks located in the middle of Missouri, but it is just to darned hot now, and thus I will not go there until early fall.
We went ot Turtle Lake Resort in southern Michigan for five days around the Forth of July where it is always cooler. However, it so happened that then they had some of the coldest days on record. (Such as 50 degrees at night.) However, the last day we were there the weather moderated to a pleasant around 80 - good for going naked and sunbathing.

The past week or so has been unusually dry in terms of the humidity. With that lower humidity, the temps also stayed down as well into the lower 80s/upper 70s when normal in the mid 80s with heat indeces into the 90s.
Yesterday, it was 76 F with a low of 64 F. Today, temps barely got into the 80s with unseasonably low humidity/dew points.

Here in central NSW Australia, 300 Kilometers north of Sydney and 200 kilometers inland the temp is about 60F outside, sunny this morning but now cloudy. That has been typical of the winter here so far. Too many clouds. On sunny days , even though cool I will go for walks around our farm dressed only in a polyester vest - keeps my chest warm and therefore the rest of my naked body is fine.

In eastern Oregon so far it's been the consistently coolest and dampest summer in many years, crops are about a month behind as far as getting ripe. Ranchers/farmers have just begun cutting hay. Cool to cold nights and rarely warming up to more than the low 70's during the days, if it doesn't rain in the afternoon. Yup, global warming for sure:laugh:

Here in Connecticut we had 25 days with rain in June. If I remember correctly, of the las 15 days of May, only 2 were rainfree. Temperatures have also been well below normal. Had a couple of days 90 degrees in April and haven't had any since.
We're seeing some improvement in July so far, but still more rain than I'd like and temps still a bit below normal.

Up here in the Central Valley area of California, the weather gets very hot at times. We average n the 100's during a hot summer. The nights aren't that cool either, where on most summer nights, it's easy to sleep under the stars. It's not unusual to be able to enjoy the pool in the middle of the night, as I have been able to jump in after 10:00 at times. We are just an irrigated desert.:smoking:

Zoar Valley continues to be about 12 degrees below normal. (only70 degrees) It has been very wet, so needless to say, the spring tan is fading.

104-105 here today in the dfw area. Just like usual. 100 degree days happen all summer here so I guess I better get used to it. We do really need some rain though.
Anyway its hot.
