View Full Version : Breaking Down the Walls

Hi all

After browsing through this site for a few days (there's so much quality info here!) I thought I should register and introduce myself.

I've always loved the idea of shedding these ridiculous threads and setting myself free, but until recently I've never had the courage to do so. I've even been to a nudist beach in the past but I was such a slave to my conditioning that I just couldn't bring myself to take my shorts off!

Anyway, last weekend I decided to take a small step towards a naturist lifestyle and spent the whole two days completely "starkers", as we say here in Australia /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif It felt so natural... so "right", and as a result I find myself spending this weekend in the nude too!

I know this all must sound quite ridiculous to you seasoned naturists, but it is with thanks to all of you on this site that I found the nerve to experience this wonderful state of being for myself. I'm quickly learning that people's attachment to clothes has more to do with psychology than morality or physiology.

I'm very pleased to have come across such an open and inspiring bunch of people (that's YOU!) and I look forward to breaking down the internal walls that have held me back for much too long. Give me time... I'll get there, I'm sure /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I wish you all the best.

And I'm sure I speak for everyone else here when I wish you all the best as well. Please keep us informed of your progress - I'm sure it will help others.

TomorrowMan, I just got into social nudity last year at age 55. I wish I had done it decades ago. Welcome to the forum and to the world of being natural.

After my first experience at a nudist club her in MI. I was hooked. I'm always nude at home, and I can't wait for warm weather so I can to Turtle Lake Resort in MI. It's only a half hour drive from me and a great place to go. They're very accepting of unmarried men. I'm a dad and grandad. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Hey TM dude

Welcome to the naturist lifestyle and the INA Forums from a fellow Aussie.

Don't know if you have read some of my postings so I will introduce myself anyway. My name is Rob, I'm 22 and have a twin bro Casey. We grew up in the naturist lifestyle so any questions you want to ask go for it.

Welcome again.

RT

Thanks for the warm welcome folks!

Speaking of warm, this weekend was the first of what I think will be a long line of hot ones here, so I guess I couldn't have picked a better time to start going nude. It's probably the exact opposite for those of you in the northern hemisphere, but hey, we all have to have our share of the sun don't we? /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Jon-Marc - Thanks for reminding me that every minute is precious! It scared me a bit when I turned 30 recently and realised I haven't done a fraction of all the things I aspire to, but it's great to know that there is always time to change.

RT - Great to see another Aussie here! I'm sure I'll be picking your brain about local naturist stuff in the future.

Cheers!
TM

Yeah, Rik, I know just what you mean. Sunshine is scarce here in Southern Michigan, too. If I can ever afford to retire, I want to go somewhere sunny and hot. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Sorry guys, but if it's any consolation, the weather in this part of Oz has suddenly taken a turn for the worse this week. Now you can't blame me for stealing your sunshine (at least this week!)

Cheers,
TM

Hey, Rik! Our weather is pretty much the same--cold, rainy and miserable, which is what we generally have this time of year. Brrrrrr! /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

OK, own up! Who's got all the sunshine? Come on, someone must have it.

I have to say that would be me. We have been having Santa Anna conditions here in Southern California over the last several days. Hot dry windy conditions.

Well, I have the sun, but it is not working too well. Too cold for outdoor nude activities.

Well..all of you..prepare to be jealous.
It's sunny and 82 here. Yep..naked weather.
We have all the sunshine in Arizona

Well, Arizona is where I want to be when I grow up, or is that retire? Seven more years and my house will be paid off, and then I will be looking toward Arizona. That is, if I can afford to live there. I was told the cost of living is so high that living there may be just a dream for me. If one of the Nudist resorts there has year round living, that would be heaven on earth for me to live in one. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Hey bartamus, GIVE US BACK OUR SUN!
It's 1am friday and I'm setting here with tshirt and sweats on, can't afford to keep heat above 68.
We're now getting snow and the wind is howling.
BRRRRRRR!

I can't brag about the weather Bart gets in Arizona, but here in Georgia we are still getting some nice nude-weather days. Yesterday was in the low 60's. Today is breezy and cooler, but it should be back to 60 by Sunday. (60 degrees is my preferred minimum for total nudity outdoors). I was out with my girlfriend today and it grew mild enough that I took my shirt off as we sat together in a sunny place that was sheltered from the wind. Not bad for late November in these parts!

HomeNudist, I know exactly what you mean. We're getting rain, snow, cold and gloom. Not only is the heat gone, but so is the sun. It won't be warm enough here to be nude outdoors again before next May if then. /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Hi Jon-Marc. We know all to well about winter weather and its drawbacks don't we. I'm not looking forward to shoveling snow this year, had a snowblower but it decided to retire on me this year. Lets hope for a mild winter!

Be nude and be happy!
