If I were... an insect,
I'd be a female mosquito,
because I like the human interaction, the constant thrill of escaping death slaps, and the beach time at my home puddle.

If I were........ A Dog
I'd be a Labador Retriever. Everybody loves them, They are such a happy go lucky animal...... nothing seems to phase them. They love Kids, Swimming (Skinny Dippy) and just lounging around in the shade. What a life.....:D

If I were........ A Cat
Any breed. Doesn't matter. I love cats because they have so many endearing qualities -- independent, intelligent, refined, and easy to care for. I like to watch & listen to them -- the ways they move are beautiful, their vast vocabulary is interesting, plus they also have very expressive eyes. I especially love when they purr and find them easy to cuddle up with.

I would be an American Pit Bull Terrier
I would not be trained for fighting and never step foot into a ring.
I would be strong, courageous and loyal to my owners/ family.
I would give my life to protect them from harm

Awe; that's a pretty puppy. I love pits. Me and the GF are going to get one, now that we're moved into an apt that allows pets.
As for being a dog. My old roommate used to say that his dog had it made because every day a human gives him food, plays with him and sees to his needs. As he put it "how cool would it be to get free food and a massage every day and the biggest decision you make is where to poop."

I'd be a mutt. Fewer health problems. Plus I'm not into "pedigree." I'm not interested in where you came from but where are you going.
I'd never go skinny dipping. I'll always wear a coat!
I'd sniff your crotch. It is what is at head height. If you don't like it, then get on the floor and I sniff your head.
I'd play hard and sleep hard. I'd actually play in my sleep.
I'd catch that car and get the squirrel!

Very good points! I had one dog in my life and she was a wire-haired terrior mix. She made a great pet and lived to almost 17. My cat lived past that. Dogs are great, although I prefer cats. They're all great!
Sometimes I'd wondered what life would be like if I were.......a bird.
You would be free to fly with so much room high above, soaring through the air and feeling the wind across your body..

If I were a buzzard I'd make much better landings after soaring in thermals.
My nearly all meat diet wouldn't be unhealthy for me.
I wouldn't need mechanical wings to fly...and thats the the important one to me.

It should hit the mid 50's today. I wish I could finish it in the nude, it would be warm enough and I haven't had a good fix of sunshine for a while now. But there isn't enough privacy now that the leaves have fallen off the hedges. :(
