Proves that there are A LOT of germans who will seize the opportunity to attend a nude event.

I don't know anything about the content of the play, but as to 'naturists hijacking the performance' - I think it's only natural that if you invite people to sit there naked, naturists will be the first to come since they're used to nudity.

Well, if the point of the musical is to "provoke the audience", then I suspect filling the seats with nudists is kind of counter-productive towards that aim. Then again, I think the press from such a stunt would go a long way in provoking those who weren't in the audience. Of course, even the press from just having considered the offer might still do that.
I disagree about their prediction of it being a "theatre scandal of a whole different kind", though. It's a shame that they seem to think that nudity in art is incompatible with the self-interests of FKK groups. But then, if they're relying on the shock value of nudity, then it makes sense that they are no friends to nudism.

I hadn't looked at it from that angle; but I agree. It seems their purpose was to challenge attendees into getting nude for their stage play. When they realized that most of the attendees would be nudists, ergo "people unchallenged by nudity", it took the shock value out ot the whole project. And so they scratched it, citing "nudist self-interest" as the cause. Hypocritical indeed.
