... I am going in 2007 because I'll put it on the calendar now. Anybody else for 2007. It's never too early to start thinking.
Not sure if I'll there, but it's time to start thinking about it. The dates are Aug 27 - Sept 3, 2007.

Tickets for Burning Man 2007 went on sale Jan 17th.

Nudestock is usually 2 weeks after that at Laguna, if I am not mistaken... I can only do one or the other, and I'm not certain at this point if I can do either one! I was hoping to take my girlfriend to Nudestock, so that's probably what we'll end up doing...

I have wanted to attend Burning Man, but the preparation to go would be pretty intense. Nudestock is a great event with Laguna turning into a small city.

Of course I've heard of BM before but never put serious thought of going.I checked out the site and it seems pretty awesome,a whole week to be yourself and mingle with other unique individuals.I was planning to hike the Appalacian Trail before I turn 40,but this might be an equally challenging task. Not to mention, sounds like a lot more fun!

I was there in 2004 and 2005, took a year off, and plan to return with a vengeance this year. I am currently trying to think of a cool art project to bring with me. Unfortunately, everything I can think of is way too big and complicated.

Will be there, weather permitting - clothes free the entire time

Never been to Burning man though I've always been intrigued by the phenomenon. When I checked the website the cheapest tickets--at the $200 level-- are already sold out. That's not in my budget (just got stuck with a few thousand in dental bills).
It would be great if there were many more "Burning man" type events that took place in places closer to where more of us lived--they don't necessarily have to be as elaborate (and should therefore be much less expensive).
And for someone who lives in California it would be great if such events were put on--on an appropriately smaller scale at a place like San FRancisco's Baker Beach--which is, of course, where the Burning Man thing started on the Summer Solstice in 1986--until it started getting too big for the original venue.

Something that is supposed to be happening later this year on Baker Beach is Nude Peace Day--I love Baker Beach though I've never attended that particular event, so I can't tell anybody what to expect.
This is supposed to take place on the second saturday in October. People show up for bodypainting at the nude section of Baker Beach.
Here's the notification for last year's event:

(I'll try to keep an eye out for more up-to date info)

Peace,
Kevin

I won't be at BM.. but I will be attending a Regional Burn in Missouri called Interfuse!! yay...

Much the same vibe, but still cozy at 700 people instead of 30,000. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif
