Not only have most of those pictured proven themselves to be great Americans, they obviously are also honest about something very personal.

I don't know about Gen Colin Powell, but looking at his record and his enduring popularity, maybe in the photograph, he was revealing a secret which was never before revealed to the public.

Maybe we should import some political advisors from Western Australia. We could all use a few laughs during these troubled times.

That pic of Dubya, is he remembering the conversation he had with Colin Powell in a bar one time? I think it went something like this.


Dubya was sitting at the end of a bar one day, sulking in his beer, when into the bar walks Colin Powell. Colin asks Dubya what’s up to which he replies “Oh nothing.”

As Colin orders a beer he looks down the other end of the bar and can’t believe his eyes. Sitting atop of the bar is a baby grand piano with a one foot high guy tickling the ivorys. He’s taking requests and there seems to be nothing he can’t play. Colin turns to Dubya and expresses his amazement at this phenomenon. “Where do you think they would get someone like that?” has asks.

Dubya points to the lamp on the piano and simply says “Genie”. “A Genie!” exclaims Colin, “Wow can anyone wish for anything?”

“Yeah” says Dubya with a sigh, “but be careful, the Genie is a little hard of hearing”.

Colin can’t believe his luck and promptly rushes to the lamp, gives it a rub and wishes one million dollars of the Genie. The Genie announces “your wish is my command” and disappears in a cloud of smoke. Right at that instant a million ducks walk through the door of the bar.

Colin is bemused at his predicament and walks back to Dubya. “You know Dubya” he says, “I wished for a million bucks and what I got was a million ducks. When you said the Genie was a little hard of hearing I didn’t think you were serious!”

Dubya, still with is beaten expression, turns to Colin replies “Of course I was serious Col. You don’t think I’d wish for a 12 inch pianist do you?”
