I do agree that winter tends to put clothes on nuidsts! but at home come winter, I have a fire going in my fireplace to keep it nude. I just wish I could live and work somewhere without the need to wear anything besides sunblock....

Same here, let me know if you find that holy grail of all nudists. I would gladly move where ever it was. Nude 24 x 7, 365 days a year.

To live year round in a nudist resort in a warm area would be heaven on earth for me. In Michigan it hardly pays to be a member of one with all the weather we have that's not conducive to being nude. I turn my heat high enough in my house so that I can at least wear just a shirt, even if I can't afford to put it high enough to be totally nude. The top of me gets cold easier than the bottom of me, so I keep bare below the waist. Half nude is better than totally clothed. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Delia, welcome to clothesfree and the forum! doesn't it feel great to declare "I AM A NUDIST!"?

And yes, many of us just have to tough out the winter season (some more than others), but there are many ways to maximize our nude time, even in winter. Just keep thinking about the summer to come, and the countless nude activities we will take in. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I live north of you Delia and I have found a lot of ways to enjoy nudism in winter. First the Vancouver area is fortunate to have a nude swim every week. Second, I am lucky enough to have a sheltered outdoor hottub, the perfect place to soak away cool winter evenings. Third I have a friend with a Whistler townhouse complete with an outdoor hottub. That is truly heaven, sitting nude in a hottub drinking well fortified coffee in a snowstorm after a great day skiing. Throw in a full moon peaking through the storm clouds, and a few close friends, and I have found my paradise . /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

AND WELCOME TO INA. I AM NEW AT INA MYSELF, ALTHOUGH I HAVE BEEN WITH AANR FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS.
I AM A DISCREET NUDIST FROM PENNSYLVANIA, AND LIKE YOU, ENJOY NUDITY AND APPROPRIATE SOCIAL GET TOGETHERS WITH OTHER NUDISTS. I WAS A MEMBER OF A COUPLE OF NON-LANDED CLUBS IN TEXAS AND THE PEOPLE AND HOUSE GET-TOGETHERS WERE GREAT.
I ESPECIALLY THINK THAT GET TOGETHERS IN HOMES DURING THE WINTER ARE A GREAT GET-AWAY AND REMINDER OF HOW LOVELY THE SUMMER TIME IS.
I'M AN RELATIVELY YOUNG AIRLINE PILOT OUT OF THE NEW YORK AREA AND HAVE LOTS OF MOBILITY TO TRAVEL AND VISIT NUDIST RESORTS.
ALTHOUGH NEVER MARRIED, MY FORMER GIRLFRIEND WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY INTERESTED IN NUDISM, WHICH WAS DISAPPOINTING CONSIDERING ALL THE BEAUTIFUL PLACES THAT I COULD HAVE TAKEN HER.
ANYWAY, DELIA, ONCE AGAIN WELCOME ABOARD (oohh, that's what I say to the passengers!.
PERHAPS WE'LL MEET AT A RESORT ONE DAY.
AND HEY, A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi Delia, winter is a fun time for nudists, we can still get some sun, though the beach is out. If it's not too cold, we can make snow angels, some places have nude crosscountry ski events but even snow shoveling or snow removal in the nude is fun if you can do it without getting in trouble. I guess most of us have to do the indoors thing for now. Enjoy

I live a little north of you in Wa. state and all I can say for winter is have a well insulated house and gas heat and it isn't so expensive to keep it warm and go naked indoors in winter. Welcome from me also.

Welcome. I hope you enjoy the forum. It's always good to have some new contributers.

Speaking of a long winter. Today I took my first nude walk of the season. I found a nice quiet wooded area near an old gravel pit. I parked the car and took about a 30 minute walk. It felt great untill the clouds rolled in and the wind got cold. The temp. dropped from near 90 to 70 in about a minute.
I still enjoyed the walk.

Spent most of the day out hiking and soaking up sun along the Lake Erie shore. Got into the 80s, took a couple of quick dips in the lake to cool off, the water is still cool, but not too cool, its warming up fast.

Hi all it was a typical spring day yesterday in the Great Pacific Northwest. I ran 16.5 miles (training for the Capital City Marathon in Olympia, WA) it WA 43F and cloudy at AM by PM I was laying naked in my lawn chair in the sun it was a warm 64F and lasted about an hour and a half before it started to rain lightly I waited until it was pouring rain hard /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif before I went in the house to do some honey dos. Boy last weekend with the sun and temp up to 80 on Sunday really spoiled me.

HW, your point is well-taken. Delia's post is ancient history. I feel like I just wrote a fan letter to Cleopatra.

Oh well, we can still talk about the weather amongst ourselves.

It's sunny and 81 degrees every day this week. The spring flowers are giving way to summer flowers and the grass in my lawn is tall and green. Let's see if the old mower still works. Excuse me for a few hours while I tend to the yard...

Hey Trailscout are you going to be mowing it in the nude? I read on here somewhere that is was legal to mow you lawn in the nude. I don't have to worry about that thought as I took out all of my lawn and put in 300 rhododendrons, 200 azaleas, and numerous spring and summer flowers and a bunch of trees. They make a great natural screen block for natural sunbathing. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Homer, I've got nice neighbors and it's possible they might be very supportive if I decided to mow in the nude, but I really would be naked to the world, dozens of people pass down my street at any given time and I can't be assured of their goodwill. My yard is visible front and back to lots and lots of people.

If your trees and shrubs gives you privacy, then it certainly would be nice to enjoy the garden in the nude.

I love those rhodies! I too have several in my front yard and a very small lawn as I decided that the shrubs were much more beautiful. I can do anything nude inthe back since it is fenced, but the one neighbor I had is moving to a rest home and is selling her house. The fence on that side has gaps in the boards but she never did complain and I am waiting to see who buys before I do anything to the fence.

naturalmanwa,
Put a sign in your front yard right next to her property line that says, "If you buy the house next door, you will be living next door to a practicing nudist!" That should guarantee that you get the kind of neighbor you'll want. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Enjoy your warm weather wherever you are. Our highs for the next week are only supposed to be in the 60's F. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif That's certainly much better than freezing, but I want it in the upper 70's to low 80's, although it's not time for that here. I've enjoyed a few warm days outside though--very few. I washed my car nude yesterday, although it was VERY windy. I got more water on me than I did the car, but that's the nice thing about washing the car nude--no wet clothes!

I went to the Swallows this last week end, man I love that place! Had some really nice weather and enjoyed talking with some old friends.

I am trying to talk the wife into moving into the Swallows. I told her if we want to continue to live in this part of the country after I get out of the military we should think about that place because I think the cost would be the most economical. I think she is actually considering it because I have been pretty honest about not being able to afford anything else here in southern California. Keep your fingers crossed for me on this.
