Not really, Pete, after a 16ft fall the piece said he was in critical condition ...
A rose bush is as hard as steel re-bar if one would impact it as one would in a fall from that height.
Nasty scratches on the skin surface would be of minor concern, it's the possibility of impalement that I was thinking of.

Hope the guy turns out all right. Perhaps he should not have done it in hindsight. And, yes, his hind was in sight.

http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif I've only seldom had good landings from that height in a fall. I usually broke a few parts. One of my guys fell 22' and landed beside a picked fence. He cleared the fence! And came right back up and said "I don't want to do that again!!" Only injured his pride that time.
