What a wonderful post. I am not 'religious' and thus haven't visited this "Nudity and Religion" forum. I feel it should be titled "Nudity and Spirituality". That said, I feel like you do to... I have 14 acres, mostly wooded, with a small creek. I love walking nude in the woods, feeling the rocks, mud, leaves touch my feet, squish between my toes..

I marvel at how being around nature's marvelous and wondering things are what bring me closer to my spiritual side. I have no word for what others call 'god'.. I feel a human word does an injustice to what we're trying to describe. The word 'god' has way too many biased views attached to it...

You pretty much described the experience I have when I'm nude in the woods. I wouldn't say that the connection to the earth ONLY happens when I'm completely naked, but it sure is stronger then. There's definitely something more intense about the feeling... I can feel the stress drain away like water after a shower. Every sensation reinforces that connection.

It is amazing the things that happen while walking with Gaia. Doing so skyclad, hieghtens all your senses, just like nature itself.

I, myself am going on a nature walk with my daughters for fathers day, most likely clothed, but being that fathers day and Litha are one after the other, it seems perfect.

I often hike totally naked in the Hocking State forest, here in Ohio. I find that I am very much at one with nature. In fact deer many times don't flee when I aproch. I have never had problems when Imeet other hikers either.

All I know is that the few times I've been able to sneak off for a bit while backpacking in Yosemite and getting naked to enjoy, well, being nude in nature, I feel just like the way God intended us to be. I just wish I could spend more time that way...

I walk naked every day. Yesterday, I did it twice.

Can walk almost right up to deer. Did walk upon 2 newborn fauns recently. One was bleating because it was still wet from birth and had flies all over it. The other looked like a baby with a load in its diapers, as it hadn't learned to walk fully erect.

I see snakes earlier on, but they generally flee in warmer weather.

After a rain, lots of footprints in the mud are visible. Also, after a snow, footprints are very clear, to see what wildlife is about.

I am inclined that we think the same, as I studied all religions, became member of three, and then rejected them because they do not teach how to find this "god" they claim to posses, until I stumbled upon Buddhism. Buddhism does not bother about "god". That now is another cup of tea. It teaches one how to become Enlightened! To find the spark of light within and set it ablaze. To become what others call 'holy', is actualy the natural state of man who is not held down by strange ideas of this or that god and rules and laws. I would like to start a new thread for people like me, who lay off not only clothes of the body but also doctrines, ideas, religions and all the crap that goes on in the mind, that deny us to become gods ourself. See this saying from a Buddhist sage:
A gold Buddha can't get through a furnace, a wood Buddha can't get through a fire, and a clay Buddha can't get through water. The real Buddha sits within: enlightenment, nirvana, suchness, and Buddha-nature are all clothes sticking to the body.

i agree caring around the negative is not what Spirt created life for. i belive everyone should meditate on cleansing the negativeity off of your ,soul and mind at the end of each day. and you will find that you will wake up more ready to face the day.

Some meditate when they wake up. The house and neighborhood are quiet. Meditating can be so relaxing and really does clear the head. There are very good reasons to do so before sleeping as well. Wiccanguy coverd many.
