I believe that it is a TOS violation to post the above message.
"Re-posting copies of private email responses or private messages in the open forums or other places on the internet is uncongenial, destroys trust and is not allowed."

Don't think he is breaking any trust there MJ. The message went into his own private message box and it is his choice to decide if he's going to share this PM with others or keep it to him self. I my self must agree that the private message is little odd and we all must agree that some other people are here on the forums for more than what the others are here for.

Technically, he is still violating TOS, But I have made the same mistake and the Forum Mods didn't boot me.

I am not sure I would have posted the PM on the forums.
Yes, their PM is a bit enthusiastic. If they felt comfortable posting on the boards, they would have done so. If you are unsure, you can hit Report Post. The mods can check it out and delete them if need be.
I would (at least) go back and edit the post and delete the members Name from your post.

Hmmmmm, lets see. I see the arguments from both sides of the fence, however, I see nothing wrong with posting his message as it is just a little weird. Maybe that's what some of these people need is a little exposure...to let other people know that they are here for the wrong reasons. Now, before anyone jumps the gun-your right, I can't prove that he is here for the wrong reasons. But read the PM-it just gets kind of old after awhile.
If I did violate the terms, then so be it...he did too. On this site, you never know when you are going to offend someone.

Hey Naked Nudists..
I'm glad you posted the PM, thanks for the heads up. If something smells off when you open the fridge, it's time to look in all the containers.
I think it's better to shine a light on the shadows and apologize later. [ http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/eusa_dance.gif -- that's a pun!]
Nudism and privacy concerns or not, if this was coming in to my daughter's MySpace account I'd want one of her friends to give a heads up.
Be Safe and Have a Day..

I don't believe it to be a violation of the TOS if the name isn't revealed. Also, even though the message is so enthusiastic, I am not sure we should label it without more evidence.

Thanks Mike S. I did, after writing my last post, read the terms of service. There is so many things that you can't do, it is easy to break the rules.
Maybe we can avoid people like this in our forums with a bit more screening of their applications. I know for a fact, in another website (don't want to mention it...might be breaking the terms of service) that we don't have this problem. Just great people enjoying the nudist lifestyle. Just some things to ponder.
I am sure that people are tired of these kind of pm's especially the women.

Tired? Oh yeah..
One of the things I struggle with is going to a resort, event, whatever and being in the "gawking males" crowd.
I'm quite sensitive to folks like you (couples and families) and want you to enjoy nudism without an audience.
I just want to walk though the woods, sit in a hot tub, swim, and feel the warm sunshine without the hassle. If others are around, that's great, but they aren't welcome to occupy the beach chair next to me and unload their life story.
A polite nod and, "How do you do" works best for starters.
Heck with a long list of rules. When a fly buzzes around your head you reach out and swat it.

It's all common sense stuff, really.
I don't see anything wrong with publicly informing the members here of strange/inappropriate PMs. I don't think that's the situation that the TOS is referring to. As you said, a little exposure is a wonderful deterrent.
But seriously, the BEST thing to do with inappropriate PM's is to bring them to the attention of the moderators.
And btw, mentioning other websites is fine as long as they do not contain or link to adult/pornographic materials.

Actually we do regularly check profiles of new members.. and we do find many questionable ones that are either deleted or watched closely. Unfortunately not all of the "weirdos" write profiles that indicate they may be here for the wrong reasons. There's only so much that can be done, especially on a website with the volume of traffic this one has.
Just have to take care of `em when they pop up... like the whack-a-mole game http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smash.gif

So someone got hit on in a pm. Big Whoop! Why not just respond, "not interested", or ignore it? And life goes on. Then if the person persists it becomes an issue...but this "outing" is ridiculous and the whole thread should be deleted.
It certainly does not merit all this agonizing and hand-wringing and back and forth.

Well, I think you already know what I am going to say...if you don't like the thread, then move on. No need to type your response. If it does not interest you, move on. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/eusa_dance.gif http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif

You misread me. I said the thread was ridiculous and should be deleted, not uninteresting. It is interesting, but unimportant and ridiculous, in the same way that watching anyone subject themselves to a ridiculous and publically self-embarrassing act is interesting. "Here hold my beer and watch this..."
As to the rest of it. Well, I think I'll respond in threads or move on and ignore when I see fit. Not you.

I'm proud of you usmc1...I knew you could do it! Don't be so hostile. I think anyone will agree in the forums...if you don't like what you read-read on sir. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/idea3.gif http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/shocked.gif

I still think you should remove the name from your original post.
I had someone repost one of my PM's and it ticked me off. It was on the PM and not on the the forums for a reason. I will never send a PM to that person again.
I get a lot of "funny" PM's, I reply "No Thanks" or hit report post. I have been invited to do all sorts of things. Never have I reposted a PM on the forums and don't plan on it.
