Any comments on Sunny Rest in PA???

Hi Everybody -

For someone thinking of going to Sunny Rest in PA for a weekend, what advice would you give?? Does anyone know this club??

How are the facilities, people, and events? What is there for a younger person to do?? Are there any other clubs I should consider in the area? If so, why??

I went to Sunny Rest a few years ago and had a great time. Nice facilities, and the people were great too. It's smaller than other resorts I've been to, but worth visiting.

I was there one time about 10 years ago. It is a close knit group with annual leases for camper trailers.
The Saturday night dance fills out half way with locals and half with Sunny Rest members. It is a swinger's event if you want that. Not intrusive was definitely there.

The regular members seem split between a swinger group and sort of an old time FKK type group. Older couples with their adult children and grandchildren who just enjoy the nudist environment. Generally they don't go to the Saturday dances.

The grounds are rustic. Hills, trees, quiet clean air. Most people walk the campus. Car noise is minimal. Some golf carts.

It was my first nudist resort visit. I had a good time. P.S. It was not my first social nudity experience.

I was there for the AANR East convention last summer. SRR is a beautiful place well run and managed by Irv, his daughter in law Myra, and her daughter Halsie. The pool and grounds are neat and well maintained, and the members are very friendly. Lots of camping area as well as motel-type units. The restaurant is priced quite fairly with a good variety of choices and a very friendly staff. It is VERY clothing optional especially outside the pool area which is a mandatory nudity required area (not enforced), but you will see more people clothed than nude outside this area, so it is perfect for someone who has some trepidation about being nude 24/7. All in all, I would rate Sunny Rest among the top nudist resorts on the east coast.

I went to Sunnyrest about 20 years ago and found the atmosphere not to my liking. It has had a change of ownership since then and I think the new managment is trying to clean up their act. They joined the local Chamber of Commerce and hosted a meeting - that alone made the local paper (Allentown, PA Morning Call). In addition, I met a couple from the area on a trip last year who are members. They acknowledged that Sunnyrest was a bit "seedy" (their words) in the time frame I had visted but that it has gotten much better.

Very nice facilities with a more modern look to it than most NE nudist places.

The dances at night are still on the wild side with some people wearing S & M type costumes and that.

I spent a weekend there last Summer and loved it.
Being around a hundred acres there was plenty of room to go and explore. Paved roads wind through neighborhoods. There are trails in the woods that lead to a large open field.
Great pool area and health club and hot tub. Folks were very friendly even to this all alone male.
I camped and loved it.
Two thumbs up.
I was planning on going this weekend but it is supposed to be rainy and cold so why bother?
