Very fine art, except #12 is a little less so, as it seems that the distance from the hip to the shoulder is disproportionately too long.
Realistically, the hip should be the midpoint of the figure. If this figure stood up, he would show a torso that is too long and legs too short for his body.
(He is a little above the artist's eye level, so the legs would appear a little longer because of perspective, also).
His head seems a little too small also.
It seems that if his arms were down, the fingertips would not almost touch the knees as in real life. The arms appear to be too short.

The shadeing is wonderful, and I am impressed by the artist leaving light portions of the paper to indicate reflected light.

I personally would prefer that at least a suggestion be shown of a stool that he is sitting on, and suggesrion of a floor, so that he would not be floating in air.

I like #5 very much. The composition is quite appealing.

Notice the model's elbows mirror the opposite chair back, and how the tabletop vase and Eiffel tower appear stacked. The table and legs share curves with the carpet. Plus, the model is lit on the right with soft shadow over the scene.

I enjoy B&W photography, and this is a nice example.

p.s. David.. #12 looks like Kurt Vonnegut don't you think?

It seems to me that Kurt Vonnegut is more abstract and more linear (uses more lines) than the artist who painted this (#12) to look three dimensional.

I meant the face on the drawing. It looks to me like Kurt Vonnegut, the novelist.

As you know, he is also an artist. Here is a page with two pictures of Kurt.

There is a resemblance.
