Hello.
My name is Traci Spencer. I am a student at the University of Sothern California. I am currently trying to put together a short documentary on Nudists/Naturalists. If you or someone you know would be willing to be interviewed on camera for this project (clothed or nude) and are within driving distance from Los Angeles, please contact me. Also please contact me with any questions about the project. Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.
Thank You

Some advice.... the word is naturist, not naturalist. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Some more advice: you might want to consider featuring two types of nudist:
-- "private" nudists who belong to nudist clubs, are nude only with other nudists, and tend to view nudism as a lifestyle, and
-- "public" nudists, many of whom visit clothing-optional beaches and integrate nudity into their everday life.

Gary,
There are many nudists who go to nudist venues to be with other nudists, but we are often nude alone at home also and other places where we are alone.
There are also "home nudists" who have never been nude with other people due to either not being anywhere near a nudist club, resort or beach or because they lack the courage to do so.
So there are more than just the two types of nudists that you mentioned.

Jon-Marc: I agree that there are more than two types, and that there are many home nudists. I mentioned only two types as perhaps being of most relevance/interest to the project.

Hi Traci,
Have a look at http://trendsguide.com
If you wanted anything on Australia, a definitive work [up to 1982] is Nudism in Australia by Magnus Clarke. ISBN 0 949823 08 2
Magnus has since died, but he enjoyed his research so much, that he and his wife became nudists.
Good luck with your project.
