Nude run- Sock covers

recently a Jewish friend told us that some years ago when staying at a Kibbutz in Israel the boys all went for nude runs only they were not totally naked - they wore a sock over their genitals. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Does anyone know if this is a Jewish custom or just some form of attempt at modesty ?

LOL-- on the Chilli Peppers observation! In fact iv'e done a sock hop when the cold winds blow. Shove the old argylie in the shorts and really keeps the wind off,also gives one a rather manly image!
