Alittle strange at first but once everyone joined in we were all more at ease.

Yes, a little nervous at first but after a short while, maybe half an hour or so, felt fine. It took my wife a bit longer......like most of the day. She's much better now and feels comfortable very quickly after meeting new people.

I would say very comfortable feeling good about yourself, is the frist step then it all falls into place. Remember they are wearing the same thing your wearing, so that should make it easy to be with friends and everyone else you don't know.Have fun go naked God made you that way.

I think everybody feels a little self-conscious at first - only natural - but if you can get up and talking to other naturists the feeling quickly go. My wife was like FireProfs - very hesitant at first and still not as comfortable with it as I am.

This has happened to my wife and myself twice.
Both occasions were at clothing optional resorts. For the first one, we drove to the resort with the other couple. I can't remember why, but upon arrival we split up. My wife and I removed our clothing at the car, while our friends disrobed at the resort's clubhouse. We met them in the clubhouse, all of us nude. I recall it being very confortable.
The second time, we were to meet another couple at a clothing optional resort. It was their first visit to such a place. For a while we did not think they were going to show up. With our towels holding our chairs, we were already nude in the food line when I looked up and saw our friends, carrying only smiles and towels. Again, it was perfectly confortable.

I was extremly comfortable and had a good time indeed. It has continued to be ever since. Of course that first time was when I was 7 years old.
The first time that I was naked with friends was probably when I was in junior high school.
I never liked being naked in the gymnasium at school, even when friends were present. School was a cesspool of individuals who enjoyed ridiculing others. Then there were the bullies. (Over the 36 years since, I have acquired an extremely low tolerance for bullies and believe that those thugs should be dealt with physical punishment.)
As for social nudism, I remember that I might have been a little bit nervous, but I quickly adjusted.

I was lucky as the guys swam naked in phys ed class. After the first 2 minutes of the first naked swim class never thought anything more about it except when I went swimming at a public beach and had to wear a bathing suit and ended up full of sand under the bathing suit.
I knew then that I was a nudist even though I remained in closet for many years.

It was alright, I just woke up after a sleepover with my friends at my house (i slept nude they slept in their usderwear) and as I came back from the kitchen with my breakfast they were just sitting there naked, they looked comfortable and I was happy to have some naked company. It was very comfortable.
A little uncomfortable,initially.
I was towelling off after a shower, following a workout at the gym.
He was just arriving for his workout.
I realized that the situation could easily have been reversed. Just a matter of timing.
We talked about issues and my mind got focused on these issues.
Never thought much of my nudity after that.

I felt ok...very comfortable actually, & my friends seemed ok with it since they never said a word about my nudity. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

No problem for me, I am happy nude and this counts for me. Whoever is arround me clothed or nude does not matter.
The first time, honestly, I can't remember how it was, but I do not think I felt uncomfortable.

About Fuzzy Nuts comment about swimming naked in Phys Ed class: When I was in (required) swim class in college, we were told we could wear a suit or not, our choice. So I didn't wear one. But I was the ONLY one who didn't. Didn't bother me -- I stayed nude the entire course. Probably started my (since then) lifetime of hating bathing suits.

I was definatly nervous just before i got undressed. I was amazed however how fast I got over it once I had stripped. In no time at all it felt like the most natural thing in the world to be nude and see others nude as well

I have always felt so comfortable being nude. When I first started going nude with others, it was no big thing.
This past Saturday I had company and, as always, I remained nude. The company consisted of my mom and dad, one of my sisters and her husband, two of my kids and their spouses, 6 grandkids and a couple of friends. The house was pretty full and everyone had a good time.
Especially me. Because I was the only one nude.

I have never had a problem with it. My new room mate knew I was a nudist when she moved in, it was a little uncomfortable for her at first, now if she sees me with clothes on she asks me where am I going.

I drove 2 hours to go to a nudist resort for my first time and almost turned around at the gate. It didnt take to long for me to realize I would never be the same again! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/beam.gif
