According to the article in the Chicago Sun Times, the horrific breast exposure time of Janet Jackson's breast was one-sixteenth of a second.
I'm still amazed that caused so much concern. Haven't we got better things to concern us in the United States?

Yes, it makes me think that Europe and other countries where simple nudity in the media is no big deal are sure laughing at us over this one. How embarrassing is that?! (Much more than a simple breast, IMO!)

sliver, that one-sixteenth of a second is the entire attention span of those so obsessed with the "incident" it's all they can handle.

Who cares about the homeless ...
What concern the dwindling economy ...
Is there a crime rate ...

Janet Jackson's nipple was exposed and my cockatoo was traumatized for life! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/bonk.gif

Silver,

I did not know that stat. It was an incident that was blown so far out of proportion it was scary. And then of course the fact that the incident was played over and over on television with Janets breast blurred didn't help because it kept adding to the drama. I agree with Denita, the whole situation was a real shame and made our nation a laughing stock.

I don't think length is the proper way to measure breasts in any case.

Actually, it was about 1.5 seconds. Either way, Big Deal. I agree with what everyone else is saying on this one.

By the way, If you do a Google VIDEO search for "Janet Jackson Superbowl" I just had no problem finding the clip. Why does it not surprise me??

A guy gets shot while waiting in line for a Playstation 3 and it's off the news in a day or two.

Yes, I imagine we're the butt (a pun!) of many jokes overseas.
