It really impresses me that I consider myself a nudist and find that you all are so intelligent on facts and figures concerning the number of men vs. women on the planet. Most of what I read is very enlightening!!! However, can't I get a couple opinions from the thorobreads that I've read on this sight? I don't remember names well, but some of you have been a nudist for quite a while. I have been too, yet mates wouldn't allow/join me in social nudity and I was slightly ignored at times and turned away at others because I havn't found a nudist mate to make it a couple visit. It is hard to break through the barear of the impression a single nudist delivers at resorts/colonies when couples are everywhere. How did you find someone open enough to take that step into the wild blue youdontwearclothes?

I have had more relationships than that would be normal, but that is no reason to not help me... please, tell me where I went wrong... other than being born in Ohio.

Here is my story. I know I was a closet nudist since high school but my wife of 16 years would not consider it and would not even sunbath nude like we did in college (or other things we did nude then). I continued to pursue one passon, recreational bike riding. Many of the rides I go on there is playful nude riding after dark. After we divorced I did as many one & two day rides as I could because yes I liked the partying but really enjoyed the nudity since there are few opputinities here in Iowa. Most of these people who ride do not know what a naturist is. Anyway, I soon found a good biking friend and after many rides together, etc, asked her to a nude resort. We had such a great time I asked her to marry when we got back. We get married in a few weeks and belong to two clubs, are planning trips almost every weekend to either biking events or nudist resorts.
So...try picking a fun loving, crazy group that happens to encourage exhibitionist behavior and you my find some with similar interests. There are running clubs and other hobbies that have a similar thirst for partying and playful activities. Good Luck

Hi Suntied,
I, like you have enjoyed naturism from my preteen years until now. My wife knew this when we married. Actually I proposed to her lying nude in the hammock in my back yard after we had gotten out of the hot tub.
She however is totally aginst any social nudity and refuses to even consider the idea. Even if she can stay dressed. She has said that I can go on my own if I want to - and I do!
I have been denied entry to a couple of clubs because I was alone and she would not join me (Glen Eden in CA and Bluebonnett in TX)
I usually am welcomed without any problems though. It helps that I have been an AANR member and a TNS member too. I was a member here at INA for a year too but found that outside of this website there were not any real advantages to membership. (I do believe in the cause though).
My wife and I are going on a FL vacation this summer and I plan to get to Haulover (hopfully with her in tow) possibly she will realize what she is missing out on. I am even wishing for a trip to Cypress Cove for the two of us.
Anyway - good luck to you, finding the right mate to join you in your naturist persuits.
