Nude at my house, in front of others... Finally! :)

Hi all.. I've been lurking around here off and on and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Eric, but go by Chief and have a 78CJ7 (a Jeep) hence the nik here. I live in the St. Louis, MO area on about 14 acres. My wife and I had to build a new house because we couldn't find property/house that we could afford where the people did not build the house 100' off the road. Our desire was to be able to 'walk around the house nude without worries of neighbors'. We told real estate agents this exact thing.. we didn't care if it was 3-4 acres or 15 acres, but it had to be set up properly and have privacy. We ended up buying 14 acres and building the house about 500' from the road where we can't be seen.

As far as nudity, I'm pretty lucky I feel.. Ours is a nude family. Our family consists my wife and I (37 and 36) and two boys (9 and 6).

When we lived in St. Louis, we had visited a nudist club here in Missouri (Forty Acre club) and enjoyed it but was dismayed by the conservative thinking that an otherwise forward thinking club would have. The day we showed up they were voting on body jewerly. They found it OK on woman, but not men.. I found that to be very contradictory and was sorta turned off by their view. We visited there with our first son (2nd wasn't born yet) before we had our 14 acres.. that was about 6-7 years ago. We were very nervous arriving but LOVED it and didn't want to leave or ever put on clothes.

Now, we're in our house and are less than 5 miles from the Nudist club, but find it unecessary to go there since we have our own nudist club. All of my friends and family know about our nudity and know that if they show up at the right time, they may see skin.. eh, we don't care. I am more carefree about nudity than my wife is.. She is what I call a 'functional' nudist. She's nude around the house and outside when she's hot. Might be topless or entirely nude from time to time. I'm nude as much as possible.

Last summer I took the nudity one stop further... one day my wife's brother and girlfriend called and decided to head over. I said to my wife 'I guess I gotta get dress'. It was 95 out and we all know how much heat shorts can hold in. She said, 'I don't care if you don't get dressed'. I of course seized the opportunity and said OK. I didn't want to freak our visitors out, so when they arrived, my wife went out and asked them if they minded if I was nude. Their response was "it's your place". So, I took the dive and went outside to greet them. Having been at a nudist club before I was fine with it, but it was kinda different being nude in front of others that are dress--further without anyone being dressed.

With my full nude, I encouraged my wife to at least go topless since she was topless before her brother and GF showed up. She ended up pulling up her top and throwing it down to the surprise of her brother.. oh well.. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

About an hour later, a friend of my wife's called and ask to come over and she told her that her brother and his GF was over and that I was nude with them here. I knew she'd get nude if I was.. so I encourged her although she had never been at a nudist club. When she arrived, the others were around back.. I told her that I'd feel more comfortable with her being nude--partly true, but I also used that line to encourage her to 'do it' and strip--helping her get over that usual nervousness for the first time 'getting naked'. She decided to go ahead and do it. Like most woman, there is that line of toplessness or full nudity. I told her, this is probably going to be one of the few times she could actually do this and she might as well get fully naked since I was. So she decided to go for it and get completely undressed. Her boyfriend was headed over later, but that wasn't really a problem for her.

Then later, another friend of mine called seeing if I was around and wouldn't mind him heading out.. I described the scene to him and offered that he could get naked, but didn't have to, but that I was, and my wife's friend was and my wife was topless.. Most guys, regardless of their view nakedness will put up with a naked guy if they get to see a nude woman and topless woman. heh...

So, it was a very very very enlightening day.. I 'got it out there' that I was going to be nude at my place. I'm not usually naked in front of my wife's brother because he's uncomfortable with it he says, but have been 'accidentally' nude in front of him a couple times in the house.. but I'm overly worried about it and neither is he. His GF isn't his GF anymore, but she comes over often to let her 2 year old run around. I'm almost *always* naked around the house and have continued to be naked around her when she comes over as I was today. It was an awesome day outside.. 81 and sunny.

My wife is OK with it I think for several reasons.. one, she knows I'm nude for my reasons, not to show off, etc. We're not swingers, etc, but she is very open minded about life in general (both being Libertarians) we evaluate a situation based on it's merits rather than societal norms, ya know?... Nudity isn't bad, so why treat it as such.

I've started going through the friends, in an appropriate way asking, do you mind me being nude when you're here. So far, I haven't asked a lot because I know some don't really understand, but they all know that if they just show up, they're bound to find me nude.

I have a pole barn about 300' away from my house, and it's closer to the entrance of our property.. so I'm down there quite often working on my Jeeps nude. If someone shows up, then they're going to get an eyefull. But I've found strength here on this website that that is OK.. It's my property, my choice and my life. If they don't want to encounter me nude, either don't just show up.. and maybe not show up at all if it's real real hot out.. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oh lucky man. You have that I am only planing.

I have a land too in relatively remote place only 10 km from city center, about 0,5x0,5 km big so now it is the 5th year I am concentrating to try to build a house but all the time I see the lack of cash.

First to start a build my "nekkid house" I need an electricity and architect stamp on myself calculated and drawn plans. Stamp-push costs 3000 USD, electricity cable 14000 USD. Plus building itself... and at the most prices been double of Yours but lauhful salaries tenfold less as Yours... Its really anecdotic that ERAB announced my land the "middle income land" - what is worse some 200 USD monthly. Its only for to go to supermarket couple of times with a paper bag. To build my house seems need for some credit to next 10 000 years of my life...

Only exit perhaps is to build it in wooden style then it will be much cheaper but fire-unsafe, anyhow I cant live without electricity. I explored the wind-wing theory but am unsure it will work properly and be much cheaper. Life really isnt easy in 4/5 of the World. But life is nice in all circumstances, be sure.

We gave up at one point and bought property. Then the neighbor at the back objected to where we wanted to put the house. Had an exit clause for this kind of thing; so dropped out of the building thought.

Kept looking. Finally found and rejected this place at first look because of its shared driveway and visible house on the left.

Well, the new owner a couple years later in the right side house put in her own driveway.

The house on the left has students renting it. They don't mind.

The rear of the property goes down to a completely natural place that I've bushhogged trails on, plus neighbors to left and right.

I now work nude on my place and walk across about 9 other neighbors' properties in the natural part that no one else seems to use.

Haven't had your luck with having other nudists join me yet.

My property is 870' x 670' and has rolling hills and is about 70% wooded... obviously 14 acres in the middle of a huge flat field wouldn't be too private. That is why we bought this acreage--since it had the privacy.

Our house cannot be seen at all from the road.. We have probably 500' of driveway (it's not straight, it meanders to the front of the property) and we have about a mile or so of trails. Mainly they're Jeep trails, but can be hiked and/or biked as well. We also have a small creek that runs through part of our property.

My wife found the property and I agree that it was definitely doable.

We moved out about 30-40 miles outside of St. Louis, MO where property is less expensive. about 4 years ago, we paid $3,000 (USD) per acre and then built a $120,000 house, so the mortgage was about $162,000 in all... we decided we wanted more property than land instead of more house than land and it's worked out well for us. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I have been keeping a lookout for Farm Building Sites with some seclusion.
So far I havn't had any luck. But I'm patient.
The only time I can be nude in my front yard is after 2 in the morning. Even then I have to keep something handy for when a car drives by.
I like watering my flowerbeds early in the morning when it's so peacefull out.

Well, we are not nude in front of our neighbors intentionally but we don't run and hide or go inside when they are out in their backyards either.

We bought our tract home almost 20 years ago. We did our homework and picked this house because of its potential for optimum privacy. Once we moved in, the next thing to do was put in a pool and 6'block walls all the way around the house.

We are out in our backyard nude all the time. We've done everything from yard work to building a patio in the nude. We have been seen by both neighbors on each side. Their kids have seen us and we are still good neighbors to each other. I think that being such good neighbors has enabled us to live our lives without hassles or friction. The neighbors on one side would probably give nudism a go, but the neighbors on the other probably would not, and those are the ones that could really use the stress relief nudism provides.

im nude around the house a fair bit of the time, live at home with my mother and she seems cool about it so far (been about a month now try naturism), still always cover up when friends of my mothers come over. a few have seen me sunbathing in a g-string and were ok about. im going on holiday in 3 weeks with my mother and one of her friends, im gonna try and build up the courage and go nude on holiday and see what they both say. it may be alright seen as we are away from home, one way to find out is try it i guess.

ill pack a couple of thongs and g-strings incase anyway.

I am like most folks on this site, love being nude. Some people I can be around nude when they are wearing clothes, my family, GF, other nudes, neighbors looking over fence, ect. But A co-worker was coming over the other day, we are very tight. He knows that I hate wearing clothes at my house, but I couldn't greet him nude. I have some cut off that have less material than a wash cloth. This is what I wear whenever a cool, non nudist comes over. For some reason I cant go all the way, and feel comfortable. Being nude in front of others at home was a big step for us a while back.

We met a really nice couple at the nude beach and have developed a good relationship. We'd meet at the beach and go out to dinner afterwards.

We met at the beach one day, both of us had plans and needed to be home after sunning on the beach but were able to meet for a later dinner that same night. They came to our house, picked us up and off to dinner we went. Before leaving for dinner I began heating the jacuzzi, thought we'd invite them back after dinner for a glass of wine and hot water bubbles.

After dinner they brought us home and we asked if they'd like to have some wine and sit in the jacuzzi and they were more than willing. They came into the house, the guys got undressed first, my wife went upstairs to hang her clothes. While she was upstairs undressing, our female friend was nude walking around the family room and kitchen. The guys were outside in the jacuzzi and my friend says to me, "hey, there's a naked women in your house", when I looked up I saw his wife walking around the house, it took me back a few steps, as it did my wife when she almost pumped into this female friend when she came down the stairs.

We laughed about this a few times that night over a bottle of wine. Glad that situation is over so we can enjoy these and other nudist friends over to our home with little or no nervousness. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I think it is very cool that so many of you have grown your home nudism to the point of having visitors. Currently my wife isn't quite to the point of being a truly comfortable home nudist. Even with the 2 of us. Which is a bummer, bcs we have 2 friends who would enjoy having a social nude evening with us and even her sister would be comfortable socially nude with us. It is almost depressing, being so close to enjoy social nudity yet so far.

My wife knows of my beliefs that I plan on being nude more often than not around the house and she is half way ok with her nudity. Yet I do tend to get uncomfortable knowing she is on her way home and end up gettnig dressed. Although, I feel that maybe if I am mostly nude at home she will step further into the "waters" of nudism. What do you all think?

I find the easiest way to 'draw the line' is simply ask those that you're comfortable around "Do you mind if I'm nude while you're here".

Of those I decided to ask, I've heard "It's your place" a lot. That isn't a yes I guess, but it isn't a no. You can press a bit for an answer, kind of joking around to see if it's an "oh man, I guess if you GOTTA be naked" with a frown or a smirk/smile.. You can read the person to see how comfortable they really are regardless of what they say and actually broach the subject with them. You can ask that question whether you intending to be nude now or simply sometime in the future. If you ask walking out the door and it's understood you don't mean 'right now' the person will feel less threatened and put on the spot, but will still feel like they're in your home and domicile and respect that indeed, 'its your place' and won't care. That way you may feel comfortable simply not getting dressed when they're headed over the next time.

Amazing what you can do if you are willing to simply ask. I'm a married guy. Stopped by a coworker's house one time to help her move. She's married too. It was the middle of the Mojave deser in summer and about 100 million degrees and I said something to the effect I'd rather be nude in this heat and she said "Go ahead." I matter-of-factly stripped down right then and there. She was flustered for a moment and then shrugged it off. Hubby even went out to pick up fast food while we finished moving the furniture.

Hubby wasn't at all jealous, but he sure was lazy!

We have 5 acres in the mountains south of Lake Isabella. Most of it is not visible from anywhere inhabited. I used to go nude there all the time but kept covered when I was around the southern edge. Then one day I was talking to the owner and she said she used to live in Malibu. On an off chance I asked her if she'd ever been to Elysium and she had. Bingo!

Now my "nude safe" territory includes her property line and the parcel between us. (Unfortnately I never get up there much any more.) Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

That "it's your place" answer sure seems common.
A couple months ago my 18 year old Neice was over and wanted to lay out on an air mattress in the pool to get a tan. It took me a little while to get up the courage but I finally asked if she minded if I skinny dipped while she tanned. Of course she said, "It's your pool, do what you want."
I was surprised by her answer so I asked a second time just to be sure she was really ok with it. She has known that I'm a nudist for about 2 years but had never seen me nude before.
When I asked the second time she said, "I wouldn't want someone comming to my house and telling me what I should wear". She went on to say that she wouldn't mind at all if I was nude.
We spent the whole afternoon together, swimming and tanning. I even fired up the ol' webber grill and made burgers.

I think that had to be the best day of the whole summer.

It undoutably takes more courage to actually undress than to ask the question.. but for me that may be because I'm freely open about being a nudist with whomever.

I almost get the feeling that there are many many people that allow themselves to be put into the position of 'it was his place, who was I to tell a person to not do something in their own home.' Therefore, they were forced to gaze upon a nude body.. regardless of how they think of it, or how they profess to think of it, most people are either curious and can appreciate a nude body.

I once watched an "R" rated version of "Candid Camera". Allen Funt pretended to be a painter. Women were called into his "studio" on some pretense I don't remember. There was a partial painting of a nude man with a chair next to it where the women sat one at a time. None of them would look at the painting. The man in the painting would come out and take off his robe and sit nude on a chair near the painting and the women. I specifically remember two responses that stick in my mind. One woman got up in a huff and quickly left. One woman, when he asked if she wanted him to put his robe on said, "Huh! suit yourself." I got the impression that while she was embarrassed, she didn't want the man to cover up and didn't want to say either way, and was hoping he wouldn't.

There was one scene where a woman, nude except for a strategically placed purse, hitchhiked on a country road. Everyone passed her until an old man on a tractor stopped and gave her a ride. I thought that show was quite funny with people's reactions to seeing nude people in places where they wouldn't expect to see them.

She's a very pretty girl but so selfconcious. I talked to her about body acceptance. She has the usual hangups when it comes to her body. We talked for awhile about body shame and how people impose shame on others without even thinking about what they are doing.
