This is an article on nudism by a non-nudist. I found his view of nudism to be quite balanced...

A very good article. I was hoping, though, that at the end he would say that he had been won over and realized that he liked being nude and how enjoyable it is.

Thanks for sharing the article DoctorSurferDude. It was well written, I agree. Hopefully, he might become a nudist some day.

It's a shame the people he talked to didn't do a better job of helping him get over his own personal hang-ups. Here's a guy who doesn't like the sight of his own skinny body, and doesn't want anyone else to see it. Even after talking to these people, he was not convinced to try it himself one bit. How old will he be before he gets over this fear - 40? 50? older? If he does get into public nudity at an older age, he will, like many of us, kick himself for not trying it earlier. And all because he's worried about what others will think of his body. This seems to be a major reason many youths won't try it...so self-conscious.

It was a very nice article. Thanks for sharing. I agree that the author has his own body hangups, but so did a lot of us at first. Maybe one day, he will be able to try the lifestyle and then write about his personal experiences, and then compare the two. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Thanks Doc for the article. Where do you find such gems anyway??

He presented nudism is a positive light, and interviewed people "in the know". Personally, I would have liked to hear how nudism can allievate some of the everyday and societal challenges of a college-aged person.

But hey, any exposure is better than none at all. Pardon the pun http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Wonderful article. It should be added to the naturist repertoire.

I actually live in San Marcos and have a copy of that article posted here at the house with the help of a naturist friend who saw it and showed me. I've also met Steve Bosbach, the President of Hill Country Nudists, and I'm very glad they interviewed him because, though I'm sure many of his comments are left out of the article for space, there aren't many people who can make as convincing an argument about naturism than him.

I go to Texas state and live very close to Floggerific :P Me and Steve have both tried to contact the journalist and invite him to a nudist event but his e-mails bounced http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif The article was ok, wish he hadn't pulled so many cheap zingers but that's journalism in the entertainment section for you. Overall good article though. I imagine he wouldn't have taken on the story unless deep down there was a part of him that wanted to give it a try
