Just got back to "Work", I've been on "Paternity" leave for 2 weeks. On june 19th my wife gave birth to a beautiful (very biased opinion) baby girl. Weighing in at a healthy 7lb,11oz, and more hair than Daddy. And just as I planned, she entered this world a nudist! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Momma and baby are doing great, Daddy's worn out from taking care of our 16 month old---who btw is not too happy at the new arrival /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Got to go back to work now, I came back to find my desk pilled high. Have you ever heard the phrase---A**hole deep--head-first? Needless to say, I gotta lotta catchin up to do /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Congrats....

Years ago I proposed a policy change where I was working, paternity leave. I was met with several comments...is this your way of telling us your wife is pregnant, but most telling were the comments; why would any guy take paternity leave...and why do we need such a policy. I stongly suggested if they have a mater., but no pater., someone could bring legal action saying the policy is biased. They changed the policy and for several years paternity leave was not used. I was the first one to use the paternity leave policy...and boy did it raise some eyebrows. When I propsed the change we were not even planning on kids....I just saw an unfair policy which needed to be changed. That was over 21 years ago. By the way it was a girl too.
