I do not know if this has been posted before or not, but a few days ago there was a letter to Abby stating that this persons wife was very upset because he was nude in front of their dog.
DO YOU BELIEVE THIS? How uptight people can be concerning nudity. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif
My dog probably wouldn't recognize me with clothes on.

My dog used to get upset when I put clothes ON because it usually meant he'd be left home alone for awhile which he didn't like at all.

The man's wife has some serious issues that may need some psychiatric help. The man's wife actually thinks that her dog has the same cognitive skills as a child. And worse, she has the belief that children should never see their parents naked.
But Abby does back the husband.

Here is the article from Dear Abby (http://www.uexpress.com/dearabby/?uc_full_date=20061222)'s homepage:
DEAR ABBY: Am I a "sicko" because I step out of the shower naked in front of our dog? My wife thinks so. The trouble started when we got a female dog, "Taffy," from the local animal shelter. Taffy sleeps in our bedroom and is there in the morning when I take my shower.
My wife insists that I cover up in front of the dog and that Taffy is no different from a child. This has created a lot of stress between us because, to me, a dog is a dog. Is it wrong to be naked in front of a dog? -- IN THE DOGHOUSE, TEMECULA, CALIF.
DEAR IN THE DOGHOUSE: Even though many people treat their dogs like children, the fact remains that dogs are canines -- not homo sapiens. Your wife appears to be either jealous or have an overactive imagination. It is no more wrong for a human to be naked in the presence of a dog than it is for a dog to be naked in the presence of a human.

Wow she'd be in trouble in our house. The dog and two cats all have to be in the bathroom during shower time. The cats have been known to go into the shower while someone is in it....yes, they are strange. When you come out of the shower, the female cat is on the counter staring at the person leaving the shower. What WOULD that woman think!

The Mrs. and I are with Doug, the only time our dog gets upset is when we put on clothes because it usually means he's not going with us.
Also, the man's wife is in serious need of help ... in professional terms, she's Looney Tunes. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/bonk.gif

Perverted little cat!LOL
Our cat is sitting right there when you open the shower door. You would think he was dying of thirst because he has to immediately start lapping up shower water off of the shower stall floor. Good thing neither my wife nor I think that way.

I hope if one of you ever starts to think that way, that the other reminds you that it's not a good Idea to lap water up from the bathroom floor. Someone could trip over you while your down there.

I have personally been nude in the presence of dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, raccoons, opposum, cows, and wild deer. Never noticed a "bad" reaction yet. They were nude as well.

Just to add to this unusual story, a person I know threw a birthday party for his cat. I kid you not, he actually had a birthday party.
Now, I don't know if he invited other cats from the neighborhood over, or if it was a surprise party, but it did happen.
I guess some people never cease to amaze us. And just when you thought you heard it all, something else pops up.
Just for your information, this person I was talking about is single, a retired Veteran and lives with his cat in a one bedroom apartment. Take it for what it's worth. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

That's funny! We have a cat that does the same thing. Sometimes she gets entirely soaked too!

I'm afraid that our dog and cat regularly witness a lot more than me and my wife merely being nude in our bedroom. If they've been traumatized by the experience, it's not readily apparent. They just continue to snooze on opposite corners of the bed and completely ignore what is going on in the middle.

Idiots are a natural resource that isn't in short supply. I liked Abbey's reply, to the effect that it's no worse for an animal to see a naked human than it is for a human to see a naked animal.
... or a human to see another naked human...

Let's hope they don't procreate yet...
And that reminded me of college. In my Abnormal Psychology class, the professor gave us a list of stress relievers. On that list was dancing naked in front of the pets.

My one cat scratches on the french door while I am in the outside shower. I usually take the dog outside with me, though she does not join me in the shower, she just sits in front of the door. I think the cat scratched on the door originally to annoy the dog which usually sits right in front of the door. Now even without the dog, the cat will be there standing on his hind legs scratching at the door. Luckily we did get a video of it as it is pretty bizarre.
Oh, none of our six pets (including a ferret) has complained yet of all the nudist activities in our house...

When we first got our kitten she was fascinated by danging things. One swipe with her claws and she went sailing across the room. After that, for the next 19 years, she respected my rights not to get scratched and I respected her right to sleep on my lap.

I have a ferret that thinks my jewels are something to be licked and played with. Not overly fond of all those teeth and claws !

Clam;
If it gets cold and your ferret's teeth start to chatter, that could be painful.

Ferrets' teeth do not chatter. They simply find other places to get warm and they are great at finding those hidy holes. Ferrets do not have the facial muscles to do that, is why they can't smile. A ferret would be constantly smiling if they could though. They are just happy little creatures.
