Looking for a Resort in Vegas

Hi My B/F and I are visiting my daughter in Las Vegas in September and are looking for a resort there. Actually it doesn't have to be a resort but a place to bare all. I would love any input as to where we could go while there. We heard Lake Mead mentioned but are not sure where at Lake Mead or if its private or legal. Thanks
