My friend Faye and I would like to start a non-landed or travel club in the Fort Smith, Ark. area. We have a few people to show interest and others we are sure will soon help. If there are any readers of the forum that would be interested, please post a reply or send me a PM.
Thank you.

Contact your local regional AANR office, they're more than happy to assist with the formation of new travel clubs. I'm the secretary of the Northeast Florida Naturists ( www.nfnaturist.org (http://www.nfnaturist.org) )that was founded by a small group of friends in 1988, now we're a 100% AANR club with right at 100 members, many of whom prefer the freedom offered by the travel club as opposed to a landed club. I must admit that I really like the variety of situations that we incur as a travel club, but I would like the convienience of a landed facility available. There are two "resorts" within an hour and a half drive of my house, but it's not the same as going as a group with the club. Best of luck getting underway. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Excellent idea. I will do that. You guys are great but don't worry, I won't spread it around and ruin your reputations.lol Thanks again.
I have to go out of town for a few days but will be back this Friday.
Before joining AANR consider TNS instead.
AANR wants $100 plus you have to read a couple hundred pages of rules and send them an essay on nudism and basicly kiss their behinds.
TNS you fill out two pages, fax them and that's it.
My Sol Searchers is TNS and I may eventually go AANR but quite frankly it isn't worth all the hoops you have to jump through.
As for being a 100% club, this means you force your members to join AANR which I think isn't very nice. I had to join AANR when I joined my club and I resent it, especially considering that AANR is paid for by members and run by the club.

Organize, apply for TNS (and possibly AANR) membership. Make announcements in the nudist press about the new group. Coordinate with NAC, hire lawyers... then file as an 501(c) and incorporate in Arkansas. If they reject your filing - sue. If they charge you under the law - sue.
Of course, that is what to do if you are interested in social activism and overturning an unjust, illegal, unconstitutional law and don't mind becoming martyrs to the cause. If you are just interested in nude recreation, base yourself just over the border.

Don't worry guys. I live in Oklahoma and the club will be run from Oklahoma. Fort Smith is the closest "big" town so that is why we said the Fort Smith area. I truly appreciate your concern and the advice given by cyndiann.
I was able to come home late this afternoon so will get busy tomorrow morning to see what I can get done about running ads in the Poteau paper and the Mini-Penny ad sheets. Have a good night.
