SW Florida

Hi all,

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before but where are good private beaches in southwest Florida? My biggest concern is that my wife and are in our 30s and don't necessarily want to hang out with the older crowd that lives down this way. No offense to them but part of the experience is meeting people our age that we can relate to. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

There is no Private Beaches in SW Florida. You may want to Check out Edun Lake in Naples, FL

Thanks. I saw there is a place off Sanibel that could have potential too. I am not necessarily restricted to SW Florida and would be willing to go to Tampa, Miami or Orlando but I wanted to check for some place closer to home.

Joe is right; there are no nude beaches in SWF. However, you might want to check out the Sanibel Naturists club. They have their own private beach, and I think the age group may be what you are looking for.

Other than that, look to Haulover for a nude beach.

18-35 is by most standards considerd the "young adult" crowd in nudism. They are also the most rare demographic among nudists when it comes to age.

A few resorts have been making an effort to change that. One is Cypress Cove, near Orlando. They have "young adult" weekends once a month and offer price breaks to those in the 18-35 age range.

It's a bit of a drive, but look up the website, they have good deals on lodging too.
