favorite Jackie Chan Police Story movie

There are four Jackie Chan Police Story movies, each one dealing with the Hong Kong cop. Out of the four out there, Police Story 1, Police Story 2, Supercop, and First Strike, which one if your favorite.

I have only seen three out of the four, but I would have to say the fourth Police Story movie, First Strike is my favorite. I love the scene when he is sledding down the mountain, making five leaps over small jumps and cliffs, before he makes a huge leap off a huge cliff, then jumping onto a helicoptor, then letting go and plunging into icy cold water. He almost died doing that stunt. I also think the fight when he is using the ladder as a weapon and jumping though it, is just a classic Jackie Chan moment. Also the idea of him fighting the Russian mafia to get back a stolen nuke was just a great idea in and of itself.

So which Police Story movie out of the four do you guys like the best?

I voted for Police Story 1 because i think its the one where they have that wild chase scene down the hillside though that shanty town. I really like that scene. Although when he jumps to the helecopter in first strike that is just fantastic.
My favorite Jackie Chan movie is probably Drunken Master 2, which was rereleased and slightly edited as The Legend of Drunken Master." The fight under the train and all the fight where he uses "drunken" style to fight about 10 guys are my favorites. I actually tracked down a book that shows all the "drunken" style moves.

Police Story 1 is very cool. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif I love the end when Jackie is at the mall fighting the drug dealers. The part when he leaps from a balcony onto a moving escalator is just awsome. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Sadly they have cut scenes out of the U.S. release versions of Jackie Chan movies. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif For instance the Hong Kong release of First Strike is ten minutes longer, and the Hong Kong release of Operation Condor (the one with the three girls) is twenty minutes longer. In other words they cut scenes out of the American version, because they think it will be too boring for the American audience. Actions like that just make me mad.

It is very sad things tend to be edited for American Audiences. We really aren't as dumb as people think!
When I lived in cleveland there was a great Hong Kong film festival every year, so i could see films like Police Story on the big screen! Now in portland there is the best video store in the world that has every video you can possibly think of, and even more that you didn't think of. There is a whole section dedicated to Hong Kong, one for Japan, one for Swaziland, you get the idea. There are even naturist videos, although i have yet to rent them as they look suspiciously like porn.
