It was one of those things that had been parked somewhere in the back of my mind for a while, what would it be like to visit a nude beach? As the season comes to a close here in this part of the world, it’s probably a good time to look back on what it was like for me to finally answer that question.

I’ve no doubt that everyone’s first experience is always the most memorable. It was a Monday afternoon in late May and there actually weren’t a lot of people there, just a handful as I recall. I found myself a spot over out of the way, lay out my towel, and with surprising ease off came the clothes. There were no shaky hands or elevated heartbeat. It’s interesting how comfortable I was with the whole situation. At the same time it was relaxing, invigorating, exciting, and liberating. For a first experience it was a great afternoon just lying there in the sun taking it all in, walking around a bit but not too much. I distinctly remember being reluctant to leave and come home but you know what they say about all good things.

Since that initial afternoon I’ve been back on several occasions. We have access to 2 beaches here about 45 minutes north of the city. They happen to be right next to each other, separated by a channel. While both have accepted nude use areas, one is more of a confined area while the other is stretched out over a longer section of beach and provides for a decent walk if that suits you. Just have some decent footwear and watch the rocks though.

As the summer wore on I had the opportunity to try a number of different activities out but generally kept to myself while there as that tends to be my nature. I even paid a visit to an open house at a local clothing optional camp ground at one point. An enjoyable experience and I seriously considered joining but I don’t know if that’s for me quite yet. We’ll have to see.

Here we are 4 months later and how have I emerged from the other end of this experience? Well I’d have to say that it’s been overwhelmingly positive. I’d definitely say that it helped me relax and relieve stress and I’m certainly much more comfortable with myself now and barely give a thought to being naked around others. Not as a direct result of this little adventure but I’ve even managed to lose a bit of weight which never hurts either.

I guess I haven’t approached the realm of being a “social nudist” yet if I ever will. The enjoyment I get out of the experience is spending time outdoors relaxing and maybe reading a book or having the chance to walk. It’s certainly not about the tan for me so I’ll keep slapping on that SPF 45 and enjoying the moment, wherever and whenever it may be.

It’s been a blast but damn, it’s gonna be a long wait until next spring. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

The more experiences you have and the more you a nude the better it feels and the more you discard or at least want to discard the textiles.

Congrats, buddy, on your first time(s), and whether you know it or not, you're already a social nudist. You posted here and you have pics of your nude beach on your Yahoo profile. That's social, I'd say!
cheers from the Maritimes,

http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gifThe relief of stess is a very great reward in itself. But, the additional of making new friends is a definate plus to nude social endeavers.

Congrats man! I know it is a truly liberating and very relaxing feeling to finally explore social nudism. I hope you continue exploring nudism and visit the resort. You never know you might make some long lasting friendships there.

This summer was my first introduction in social nudism too. I went to Paradise Valley resort in N.Ga for my first visit back in early June. It was an absolutely perfect day and I got a great tan, though a little burnt. Since then I have been to all 3 of the resorts(2 of them more than once) and found one that I really enjoy. I'm hoping to visit the non-landed club sometime this fall or winter.

ahhh yes, you found the true treasure of social nudism. we can sit in our homes for ever but when you go social it brings on a wholesome feeling you'll never forget and want to do again and again. i was mezmorized by the attention others gave me on my first visit to a nudist lodge.
