In the area on vacation and planning on visiting San Onofre beach next week - I have heard there is a real problem with Jelly Fish that are migrating north for cooler water and there have been quite a few swimmers stung on the San Diego beaches. Was wondering if anybody has been to San Onofre recently and can confirm or deny the Jelly Fish problem, or if anyone knows of a site that gives regular reports of this kind of activity?
Thanks Much!

Though we haven't been to San O beach in the last week, up until then,we've been visiting quite regularly and we haven't heard of any jelly fish incidents at San O this summer.
Rays do cause some problems for swimmers but as long as you shuffle into the surf, according to lifeguards, you shouldn't have a problem with them.

Im going this Sun if you are going to be there Tsirutan, PM me or leave a message here .
Didnt see any the last time we were at San O, but we did see some the last time we went to Blacks. Check the Blacks website under trip reports and you will see there is lots of jellyfish activity.

Thanks all for the input - unfortunately, my wife has come down with the flu - was planning on going today or tomorrow, but looks like vacation will be cut short by her illness.
