The question is where? If outside is protected from view by others go for it there is nothing better. However if you could be seen by your neighbors or others beware. It most states you could be charged with indecent exposure or disorderly conduct. This is not good for you and definately not helpful to the nudist cause. I hate it when some one has to push the envelope as it can make our recreation look like perverts!! The wrong image we need to suceed in getting excepted.

Red55: We are not going to get accepted unless we push the envelope. If we don't, we'll have exactly the same rights and opportunities 20 years from now as we do today. No one is going to come along and volunteer more opportunities for nudists. We have to ask/demand/fight for them.

Gary pushing the envelope can and often does backfire. Education, openness, will go much further than in your face. A point. I have known a number of gay men, one has been a good friend for years, However if if a gay man is in my face about it I will react in a negative way. As my grand dad said "you will catch more bees with honey than gasoline.

ego3: It's perfectly OK to be nude outside on your property IF nobody complains, and IF no passing police officer decides to do something on his own iniative.

Laws about nudity are very different from one jurisdiction to another, so it's difficult to generalize.

In some jurisdictions, simple nudity is not considered to be a serious offence -- at most a misdemeanor. In other jurisdictions, it might be lumped in with sexual offences. You can research laws in your own state to see where you stand.

However, if you want to be nude on your own property, it's best to have neighbors who don't mind. With some, you could simply go over and ask them and they would say OK. With others, they might come to tolerate your nudity if you introduce it very gradually over time. With others, they'll never be agreeable, so you would have to have the support of the law to be nude.

I think we were talking about this in another topic... jury is still out on if its okay.

I think the basic rule of thumb is, its okay as long as you dont get arrested =)
