In the Desert Area, it's getting a little warm for hiking except in the very early mornings - but I'd highly recommend the Painted/Mecca Hills (http://www.hiking-in-ps.com/meccahills.html) hike.
In the San Jacinto Mountains, North Fork of the San Jacinto River and Fuller Mill Creek both have nice hiking trails to explore, weekdays are safest but have encountered fellow naturists on weekends sunning by the pools and waterfalls. Most of the hiking trails in this area are great if your vigilant for the approach of textiles.
