What's up with this floating INA site map icon? I Find it a bit annoying to have it constantly popping up and floating to the bottom of my screen every time I move from one page to another. Can It be removed from the forum pages and perhaps only appear on the main page?

People have been begging us for three years to have a site index to find things easier from any page. Most love it so we will keep it. In the forums, it is only on the front page and the "latest activity" page, not on all the posts. It is also not in any of the members' only areas, the photo galleries, etc.
Just ignore it if you don't want to use it.
Anyway, have fun!!
Thanks!
It's kinda like ignoring a fly on your screen.... /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Would it be possible to anchor it to say the top of the page, rather than having it move every time you scoll down the screen?

Dear Corky,
Remember my private email to the staff regarding this Annoying Bug on our screens...I see I am definitely not alone in regards to my feelings /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif
So my suggestions include allowing us to be able to disable this annoying feature or better Yet, eliminate it completely /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif and that way we won't have to put up with it /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I will keep playing with the site index button and see what I can do. I basically styled it after the windows start button and no one seems to complain about it. I might make it a lot smaller and anchored at the top or bottom.
Thanks for the input everyone!

Thanks Corky,
I knew we could count on you not have something that annoys not only me, but others that post here too /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

PS
Putting this new feature up at the top would be a great place, and I for one would use it if it were placed there /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It I put it in the upper right. Do you want it static (you won't se it when you scroll down) or moving to stay in the upper right (move with the page)?
It is moves with the page, when you scroll down to the bottom of a page you can still see the site index in the upper right. You wouldn't have to scroll back up to get to the site index. On the other hand, it might still be just as annoying when it moves.
What do you all think?

What I've seen on alot of web pages is that they have a link secured to the top and bottom of the page. They don't move, but when you scroll the page all the way from the top to the bottom the icon becomes accessable again. So wether you are at the top of the page or the bottom, you have the index available.
What makes yours annoying to me is that it is constantly moving and covers up part of the page I am scrolling to see.

I made it smaller for now. I will try your suggestion and maybe impliment it. I will keep working on it. Thanks!
Hey I like it a lot better the way you have it now...smaller and tends to sink to the bottom of the screen.
Thanks for taking the constructive crtiticism to heart.

I wonder if there are any other Mac users out there who are having the experience I'm having? The site map button replicates itself as I scroll, resulting in up to 4 of the buttons on my screen at one time.
I think the button is a good thing, but 4 of them at once is definitely annoying.

Thanks Corky, the smaller size makes it alot better.
