To help bring legitimacy to the naturist/nudist agenda, are there nudists organizations that sponsor volunteer opportunities within the general public?

I'm not sure what you mean. Could you give us an example? /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

You know...does your local nudist resort or club try to organize a volunteer opportunity for its members. I think this would be good for the people they are helping, as well as it will bring free advertising for the organization and the nudist agenda if more "local" people see their fellow nudists working to help the community. Now, if the nudist resort or club decides to help people while being in the nude is another question..??!! However, I think if a club would organize a volunteer activity; go out amongst clothed people while being clothed helping others, while promoting the lifestyle, it would be good for all parties involved for the present and future. What do you think? Does your club do volunteer activities outside "the four walls"?

I found that the cherokee lodge and resort in TN is having a charity auction and spring festival to benefit the vanderbilt hospital for children. Now that is cool! I would think that when this lodge gives the hospital the money that the acceptors will look in astonishment on who is actually giving them money. But in the end, when a list of contributors gets out and thanks are recieved, it will be good advertising for the "cause" to be listed in those reports. I would think it would bring legitmacy to at least that resort and the surrounding area for the lifestyle.

We have never been to this club but have received numerous invitations thru the mail. Glen Eden Sun Club does many volunteer activities in their surrounding areas. One project in particular that I have considered volunteering for is Adopt a Highway clean up. The club adopted a portion of the freeway near the facility and has monthly or quarterly clean up of the area. Cal Trans assists them with pick up, transport to the area and returns them to the pick up point.
I'd like to go and help out and then go back to the club for a BBQ, swim and friendship. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
