What is the Naked in America project being tapped? Is it finished being shot? Are the people paid models or average people who are true naturists?
Much aloha!

Also, when is it going to be released? Is it going to be shown online or released on DVD?
Sounds really interesting!

Naked in America is a feature documentary and the cast of the movie are all first timers and it came out amazing. It will be released in a theater near you in 2007/2008. Naked in America is an AstraBlu production directed by Corey Mangold.

It would have to be "R" for nudity but not "X" for explicit content, right? And no violence.

I would think it would get a PG-13 rating not an R. R rating is usually for excessive violence and sexually explicit material.
Congrats on the good news. Look forward to seeing it.

I doubt very much it will be shown in the theaters here. March of the Penguins didn't even make it to the theater here.

I guess it’s not normal for Directors to be nude in directing a nude or nudist video.
Corey is always seen nude, in fact I have never seen him dressed except at city council meeting on a nudity ordinance in California.

Sufferin' Succotash Garry -- March of the Penguins didn't even make it to the theater here.
A lot of us (me, myself and I) aren't sure there ARE theaters -- or even people -- in South Dakota. Custer and his men took a beating and that's the last news we've had here.
Glad to know you.. and glad to hear S.D. is on the map and Naked in America. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

I notice it is not in Internet Movie Database (http://www.imdb.com) which usually has info about movies in pre-production and in production as well as those already released. AstraBlu appears in the whole database only once - as the production company responsible for bringing us National Lampoon's Cattle Call.

It is listed here: http://astrablu.com/productions.html

On the IMDB's not listing certain productions, I know from firsthand experience that the IMDB will not post a listing for independent films - specifically those not associated with one of the big studios - unless they have actually been screened at least once like a private screening or a festival screening.
