So many years I can't remember. We obviously started out as home nudists and continued on the course for a few years while living in apartments and small homes behind our landlords.

After we purchased our new home, it took a couple of years to privatize our backyard to get my wife comfortable to venture out. We were backyard nudists for a very long time. I began talking to my wife about social nudism about 12 years ago but she wanted nothing to do with it. About 6-7 years ago, she began to loosen up about the idea but wanted to think about it more and wanted some guarantees.

Around that time, I visited our local nude beach by myself and then talked to her about it somemore. The following summer, she agreed to go and spend the day with me there. After 15-20 minutes on the beach and being the only one with clothes on, she said..."this is stupid," got up, took off her clothes and spent the rest of the day nude.

The rest is, as they say, history. Now she plans many of our nude trips, day visits and weekend trips to escape and destress. She'll usually come to me and say, I need some "nude time," which means she want to visit the beach or a resort.

Then spent six months researching it on the net.

Booked my accommodation.

Worked out a plan B in case the weather was bad.

Spent five hours driving there.

Got to beach.

Spent about 9.5 seconds getting undressed...

I was walking the beach and stumbled upon Moonstone. It only took 2 seconds to drop my cutoffs and join the naked crowd.

Assuming that we're talking now about really the "first" visit. That just happens to be the stage I am at now.

Somehow, it occurred to me that I could make a visit to a nude resort on the tail end of a two week road trip. From there, I have gone through, and continue to do, a lot of research. I picked the resort and, with some apprehension, did make my reservations. Now, with it still about a month away, I'm wondering if I'm not out of my mind (probably I am) and in over my head.

This will be my first visit to such a resort and my first exposure to social nudity. I'm trying to be nude as much as I can to get used to it, in private, and I anticipate venturing to the local nude beach in the next few weeks (something I've long wanted to do anyway).

I keep asking myself "will I chicken out", "will I actually go", and "will I come out of my room", "will I be able to get rid of the towel". I've kind of committed myself by spending the money on the reservations (which is a bit of a push) and this is something I definitely want to do and experience.

I'm thinking I will journal my experiences and write more elswhere.

For now, maybe I'm just looking for encouragement - which I get fom a lot of the excellent posts here and in other forums.

about fifteen yrs ago it took a friend several hours in a barroom to talk me into going to a nudist resort with him in the mountains. i was very apprehensive, but i agreed.

(can't believe what a wimp i was fifteen yrs ago!)

at first I thought what people will think of me. I look like a teen the first time I visited the resort. I was afriad they would turn me down but after my Id check and tour of the place I was hook ed, being nude out side and in a place ither then my place was awesome. Plus I had an easier time being nude since if I had to use the restroom I had nothing in the way. When they built a hotel unit on the property I got to stay nude longer and when I got up in the morning it took me lest time to get ready to go out and about.

Not much time for us,we were holidaying near a nudist beach at the time and decided one morning just go there and see what it was all about.Greatest thing we ever did we had been nude most places but on a beach was new to us.

When I was 16, I was riding my mopet, passing a nude beach, I decided to check it out. Once I got there the clothes came of very easily.

I hadn't even thought of going until I was in France a long time ago and went to the central park of a small town at noontime to eat a picnic lunch. On their workbreak people simply peeled off their clothes to catch a few rays. I thought about it for 5 minutes and then joined in. I've been a nudist ever since.
It took me a few years to convince my wife to try it out but now she likes it.

It took me about zero time to decide to go. It took me about 1 to 3 hours to do my research as to clubs which are located by me.
When I found a club that was located about 15 minutes from my home, weather played a large part in preventing me from going. But when I finally was able to go, it took only few minutes to shed my clothes and enjoy.
