Having read some posts in other threads I had to post this here, cant we rather have joke threads that ignore certain ppl? like tightwads? I could mention names but that wouldnt be nice would it?

Lets here all about these tightwads now.

Well seeing as though some comlplain about threads being hijacked for jokes, we should ban them from reading this thread? Those who object to some good humour and cannot see the funny side of life are all tightwads. ie: they have wads of something stuck somewhere that makes em tight.

A highwayman accosts Jack Benny with the demand, "Your money or your life!"

Jack just stands there with that trademark deadpan long take he's famous for.

The highwayman, frustrated, yells, "I said, 'YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE!!!!"

Jack ponders a moment or two more, then replies thoughtfully, "I'm thinking, I'm thinking!"

Thanks for clearing that up for us chuckie. But I have to disagree. I think the "Tightwads" you speak of should not be banned from this post. They need to know that life is not just one serious soap opera, fun stuff happens too. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Oh no, here I go, posting on the wrong topic again! Stick around "tightwads", you may learn to go with the flow, no strings attached. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

"How was your trip toCalifornia"
"Well, a mugger stopped me and said, 'Gimme your money or I'll blow your brains out.' "
"What did you do?"
"I told him to go ahead and shoot. He was so shocked that he ran away."
"Wow! I guess it worked, but why did you tell him to shoot?"
"Because you don't need brains to live in California, but you can't get along without money."

HW, telling the tightwads to "stick" around... bagnabit! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Even though they don't have one, loose wads need to "stick" around alot more than the ones that rely on that stick. /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

what do sticks have to do with wads? loose or tight wads? do they use the sticks to push the wads home?

gamblefish
04-19-2003, 02:07 PM
If you're a tightwad, you get beat with a stick until you become a loose wad, that's why barelybob hates it when his wad gets tight.

Suntied, Bartamus probably yanked the user name thread becuz we yanked it so far out of topic it could not be saved. They tried to use those electric thingies that you rub together and then put on the chest area and say "CLEAR!" and it goes "ffffpoont!!", but I think it was too late...Poor thread... /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Hi guys,
Boy have I missed alot in the past couple of weeks. I enjoy all the jokes and banter. Unfortunately I do not have the voices in my head. I keep ercNY around for that, he is the fun one in this household. I just wanted to add a quote for those "tightwads"

Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while you might miss it. .

Sit back read and enjoy, so the threads go a little to the side, so what, join in and bring the topic back. It really is not that hard.

Yes, I do play "poker", but not for the reasons stated. Getting hw knocked-up, is not my idea of having fun, it's the process that goes with it, that counts. Also, I play strip poker by my self, and I always manage to loose. I did go to a bar one time, and there was a sign on the wall that stated "..liquer in the front, poker in the rear.." Never understood that meaning. /infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

hw
04-25-2003, 09:52 AM

Well hw, I would think that it........ I'm having this wierd sense of deja vu, wonder why? Now what was I saying? I forget.

Well hw, a tightwad is like those people with no sense of humour and object to it in normal threads. I see them in that their minds are so closed that they are like wads of wet paper stuck together. Even toilet paper if you like.

About those voices, I dont hear them much anymore, but its nice to go see them, at least they know me, lol.

Superglue and those sticks dont really mix. I once heard of a couple who in the dark mistook a tube of superglue for lubricant...........

I think it was David Letterman who revealed that Spam was first formulated sometime in 1938. Then he informed us they're going to mix up a second batch next Friday.

Once the FDA sent them a letter for not complying fully with the truth-in-labeling laws about the ingredients in Spam. The company protested the charges, explaining that the name itself was an acronym for the ingredients... Skunk, Possum And Mice.

My favorite spam recipe would have to bee...

Lobster Thermidor au Crevettes with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.

The other day at an event at my nudist club we had a number of chickens and some pork roasts in our huge cooker and our chef(nominated for this event) went to check on the food and came and told us the chickens were no good. it appears they were stuffed.

Y'all need a watermelon wine cooler if the stress of summer heat is getting to you.

Take a small-sized melon from the melon patch, one that is ripe (the melon's "pigtail" is nearly dry). Get a round one with dark green skin. Cut a hole in the top like you would a jack o'lantern, scoop out a hole right down to the middle of the melon, pour a bottle of good sweet red wine down into the melon cavity and put the cap back on that melon and leave it in the spring box by the creek or in the fridge if you have a refrigerator for a few days to set up. You can seal the melon cap with wax from a candle if you wish.

After a few days, drink the wine and serve it with chunks of the melon. Don't drive anywhere or vote in a public election for a couple of days after you enjoy the melon cooler all by yourself. If you share it, you will be back on your feet sooner.
