I would like to take a moment and let all of the families, friends, and loved one's know that here in california, all of our thoughts and prayers are going out to you. Alot of the stores, banks, and most restaurants, are taking up collections and going to send them to you.
I know that right now it's not easy, but I Kristopher wanted to say that I send a prayer over for all to be safe and sound. And to know that a DJ here in california is thinking about all of you.
God Bless

Very nice gesture, DJ. Being another Californian, I would like to extend the thoughts and prayers from this part of California (Central San Joaquin Valley) as well.

what a great request djguyproductions. the same is going on here in west virginia and surrounding states. we must learn through all of this tragedy to be prepared ourselves. this shows that the government protection policy is not working. just my opinion.

Thank you and Keith for the kind words, I appreciate it, and it's also nice to know that the california nudists are here along with everyone in the midwest, and eastern states.
It's great to know that members of INA are always here for one another.
Thanks
Kristopher

One of my daughters just informed me that about 300 of the New Orleans people are in my home city of Battle Creek, MI at Fort Custer. I had no idea people were being sent so far.

I would also like to say that the victims of Katrina are in my prayers as well. While I don't know anyone who was affected by Katrina, watching them on my TV makes me wish I did.
But maybe I do. In tragedy, aren't we all the same person? When one suffers, a part of everyone suffers as well. And when we can see it, we can feel it more.

I have seen a lot of compassion from kids. After this hit one day at Wal-mart I was on the register and a group of grade school boys had put their allowances together to buy water to send to the gulf. I used that example and did the same thing, making very sure my five year old was with me. That night at our martial arts/self defense class at a local church she mentioned the hurricane victims when it was time for prayer requests. "Out of the mouths of babes".

Prayer is useless, it has never saved a life, however, my welmeant condolances for the deceased and my sympathy and very best wishes for courage and strength for the living. That the force is with thee all.
Thank you to Bob S. for directing me to this thread by his reference in the "thoughts on Katrina aftermath" thread.
He is right. We get to wrapped in assessing blame and making political statements.Nothing we say now will change what happened.
The people of New Orleans and surrounding area deserve our full attention.
May you find peace in the coming days. We pray that help that is needed will be at hand.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

Yes your correct, we all might blame one another for things that happen, But over all just sending prayers, and good thoughts, and if those who can send donations, that is the important thing, We become a team not just one person doing it all......

Captain Zen you are forgetting (or ignoring) free will. GOD gave us hearts and minds and hands to help. We can donate to disaster relief. It's so easy even my five year old daughter has. Some people volunteer time. In past disaster my dad has gone to disaster places and spend all day cooking for the victims and relief workers. I forget if it was organized through the church or Kiwanis but he helped either way. Sometimes GOD works in mysterious ways but other times he works in very ordinary ways, like a person of faith donating or volunteering or praying. Those acts of kindness, sacrifice, and generosity are GOD working.

Is the act of destruction also "God's" will?
