what is the legal position when sun bathing naked in my garden . this is overlooked by 2 other houses . i don,t want to offend my neighbours so some clarification would be apprieciated.

Laws very so much from one place to another let alone from country to country. I would suggest that you contact the local authorities or if you are uncomfortable with that try contacting your local naturist/nudist organization. I'm sure they would be willing to help out with some good advice. Here in the states it is generaly alright however as a matter of courtesy it might be wise to approach the neighbors and see how they react. I know of at least one nudist who had concerns about her neighbors new edition to their house over looking her private backyard. After a little chat they were willing to modify their house so no windows over looked her yard. Now that is really going above and beyond.
