Anybody no of any nude use areas close to Tucson? I will be in the area from 29 Jan to 18 Feb and was hoping for a chance to really soak up some sun.

Tanque Verde falls is a favorite nudist area. When I lived there my wife and I would hike nude:

1. north of the last shuttle stop in Sabino Canyon,
2. Catalina State Park once past the fence boundary,
3. Saguaro National Monument east and SNM west,
4. Picture rocks area,
5. The Santa Rita mts.,
6. The Rincon mts., and once we went out to
7. Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Monument

Enjoy the warm weather.

Although not "close" to Tucson, you may want to consider a day or weekend trip to Shangri La Ranch just north of Phoenix.

Shangri La Ranch website: http://www.shangrilaranch.com/
Click on Our Brochure and Location for contact information, office hours, a map, etc. I recommend contacting them in advance if you plan on visiting the Ranch, checking on cafe hours of operation, etc. I also recommend NOT driving through Phoenix during weekday rush hours http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/no.gif

http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/idea3.gif Tucson & Southern Arizona tourist information: http://www.arizonaguide.com/tucson_southern.asp

Hope you enjoy your visit to the Grand Canyon State and get a chance to soak up some sun,

I was in Tucson this week and took a trip up to Tanque Verde Falls supposed nude area, but no one was nude or even close. I came up there to do some nude hiking, went to the third parking spot along the road, went down two different trails that had signs that pointed to "nude area", but neither had any nudists on them or at the end of them. I was a bit disappointed cause i wanted to do some nude hiking. Is it the wrong time of year near there for it?

To Hokienudist: "NE Tucson" is right. The locals aren't going to come out in January. They think it is cold. However, I'm from Northeastern arizona and as long as it is in the high 60's I'm ready to hike. So I would have been there with you enjoying the canyon. I have been there during the summer and it is pretty heavily used.

Is it alot of people nude hiking or just people skinny dipping in the falls and maybe walking around naked some? Seems to me its just a skinny dipping spot.

When it's that hot, I'll keep to the AC. At 60, I'll hike all day and get a nice tan to boot. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

New resort in Arizona

I received the following email from DeAnza Springs Resort (http://www.deanzasprings.com/) this evening.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">
Look out Tucson, here we come. The owners of DeAnza Springs, Laguna del Sol and Paradise Lakes & Valley have joined forces on a new venture near Tucson, Arizona.

Mira Vista Resort is located on 30 acres in Marana, immediately Northwest of Tucson. The facilities include 14 guest suites - mostly 2 rooms each, restaurant and lounge, deluxe fitness center, swimming pool and spa, huge covered and furnished pool-adjacent outdoor ramada, spa treatment center, tennis court, old West "town" and beautiful saguaro cactus-filled grounds and desert vistas. It is truly in turnkey condition, requiring almost no modifications to open for guests. This does not mean that plans aren't being made for additional facilities however. Condominiums and RV sites are being planned. Mira Vista Resort is located just 3 miles off I-10, 22 miles from the Tucson airport and just 90 minutes from Phoenix.

The new partners are excited to be working together at Mira Vista resort. We will be applying for an AANR charter as a 100% club. Individual, couple and family memberships as well as day use will be available. In addition, full members of DeAnza Springs, Laguna del Sol, both Paradise clubs and Mira Vista will be able to upgrade to an "Ultimate Membership" entitling them to up to 45 days each per year at any or all of the other resorts.

Check out Mira Vista Resort at www.miravistaresort.com (http://www.miravistaresort.com) The opening day is projected to be around mid-April. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

It appears that their website is under construction. From the description of the facilities, I doubt if this is the former Jardin del Sol nudist resort with a new name.

I'm planning on visiting Mira Vista Resort after they're open for a few weeks.

It's just a coincidence that Mira Vista Resort and the former Jardin Del Sol are located in Marana, AZ. Received the following note from the owner of DeAnza Springs yesterday. "It (Mira Vista Resort) is not JDS. This is a completely different location. "

I never visited JDS but from what I understand the facilities did not come close to matching what Mira Vista offers - see my March 3rd post.

I'm looking forward to visiting Mira Visa after they open.

Their website now has much more information. This is actually very good news for us Tucson nudists that want the resort experience that Jardin del Sol never offered!

It is totally clothing optional and I have never had a problem staying naked all day. On the way back to my car from where the trail ended to the parking area across the road, I had to wait (concealed) until a family coming off of another trail left and until a couple of cars passed, but then I was able to get to my car and get dressed.

So my visit to this place turned to be a HUGE disappointment because I was there to relax. Every night on my stay I was hounded by the manager to have sex with him and I am not gay. The food was excellent but this totally ruined my vacation for me.

Totally BEWARE of the guy named Keith who somehow is the Manager here, he is VERY GAY and bold about getting sexual orgies going late at nite in the pool with men. This Keith guy is very gross old man. You will recognise him by the fake wig on his head and old age spots on his face and body.

If it wasn't for this Keith Bradkowski being around every seconed of my visit it may have been somewhat pleasureable. The surroundings are nice and the rooms okay.

My advice is to skip this place unless you are a gay man in his late 50's or 60's that is into being harrassed by your host.

GOOD GOD TELL ME THIS ISN'T THE SAME KEITH BRADKOWSKI FROM MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA!

I was totally psyched about finding this new place to check out and nearly booked a two-week stay but thanks to one extra click before I spent money here I found out who is running the place. A SEXIST, RACIST, PIG!%#@ (Yes, I called the phone number and recognized his voice).

This guy is a *** with hardcore aids (God bless all of 'em who are infected.. EXCEPT HIM). Unless you are an 18-24 year old male then I guarentee that Keith Bradkowski, the manager of this place, will not only make you feel unwelcome, but he will go to great pains and strains to disasterously ruin your stay at this place.

I worked under this bastard for 3 years and he hates women, Africans, Asians and any other person on this earth that he is not sexually attacted to. The creep can't be missed as the skinny weasle who's notorius for topping his scaly bald head off with one of California's worst rug jobs. Oh Christ it's aweful. Ok now enough hatred on the ***** - ha ha ha ha ha.

If he's really the same person and is now the general manager of this new place then my advice is to stay out of the State of Arizona.

What place are you talking about? Tanque Verde is wilderness, not a hotel. I go to Shangri-La often, - sometimes alone and sometimes with Canyon State Naturists - and this is not tolerated.
