I attended a stage production of the musical, Grease, last night in Duluth. In on scene one of the guys, who has a reputation for mooning, is depantsed by his buddies. The actor left the stage with the waistband of his jockey shorts low enough for the audience to see his bare behind.
I heard laughter, but I saw no one leave the auditorium in disgust. So maybe we as a society are becoming more accepting of nudity.

I don't think so. People seem to be quite happy to accept nudity in the context of sex, comedy or even advertising but not when it's the simple every day type nudity that naturists practise.

Very true, Rik. Isn't it interesting that the same people who are offended at simple, clean social nudity will sit and watch a movie or theater play with nudity in it and not bat an eyelash, nor be at all offended? I would be willing to bet that these same people will rent an R rated movie with total nudity and sex in it and enjoy watching it in the privacy of their homes.
I find the rationalization of some people to be very interesting. Social nudity is wrong in their eyes and minds, but nudity in movies and plays is acceptable. Can you explain this strange rationalization? I can't. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
