Does anyone know if the Ocean Palms is still open. I know the owner was feeling pressure from all the development around him. I was thinking a heading down some time in April and would hate to see that place gone.

Was @ Haulover a week ago and its still standing. Cant say for sure its open, but it looked it at any rate.

I hope they never close. It's the best little motel in Florida.

I suppose that this Ocean Palm Motel is on the National Register of Historical Places as it was the first motel in the nation that was two story high, as all the other motels were one story until then.
