Seeing as how the content of this site is updated to often (people don't post frequently), I appreciate the addition of the "jumpt to new post" link on the page. Now I don't have to wade through so many posts, or try to judge wether the "new" posts are new since my last visit, or new that I've decided not to read.

It's Monday morning in Alaska and the server is so slow that I forget what I want to say by the time I am able to do so. I'm hoping the new servers will improve. I could not get into the Forum all weekend and when I did today...it crawled from one screen to the next. I know that Bartamus and Corky are doing their best to solve the problem...and I am not really complaining...just anxious to get back the speed it once had because I love to check out the Forum daily. Naked and no place to go in Alaska, but college classes so I will sign off for now and trudge off to class...with my warm clothes back on. sigh! /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

It is almost done! Please give us another day or so. It is toooo time consuming setting up all new servers. Thanks!!!

I'm just curious about something. Why is it that we can't view the poll results without voting? Sometimes the poll doesn't pertain to me at all, and I have no reason to answer the question. However, I would like to see the results even if I don't vote. /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

They can let people see it without voting if they select that option. The reason for this option is to let people who start the poll have the option to force people to vote so they are not affected by the results. Anyway, I hope most people let us see the results without voting. Have fun!

The new site looks real good.

THe only suggestion I would have is to post the most recent message or thread first and then go bacwards with the older posts. I like to read them but it's a bit of a pain in the but to have to scroll through all the older messages first.
It's just a thought.

HAVE A GREAT NUDE DAY!!

Dear Jim and all the others who agree with you,

You do have a great idea, "EXCEPT, IF" this BB took you up on your suggestion, the initial thread would be hardly worth reading, and I have to admit, had I NOT KNOWN what the initial topic was, I would probably not respond to someone elses idea, such as several that I have in the past.

*Note, history has a way of repeating itself, if we do not know of its beginnings...thus this BB would really just another BB with little or no meaning /infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif And confessingly, this is only one of a very select few, I read on a regular basis.

To read the day's posts, you will not have to "scroll through the older messages first" if you will do the following;

Near the beginning of the BB go to "Todays Active Topics" and click onto the post for that day which interests you. When that thread appears on the screen, notice the blue colored words on the left, which says "Jump To New Posts" and click that on, so that you will not need to scroll through all the old messages to read that day's posts.

Then, if you wish, you can scroll backwards (up) to read the preceeding posts.

In addition,you happily will find this wording of "Jump To New Posts" at the beginning of a thread, on the left hand side, without going by way of "Today's Active Topics". This is a very convenient feature.

Thanks, David. I didn't know about that feature. It just goes to prove that we're never too old to learn. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
