In 8 to 10 weeks we will be moving to the Ocala area. Not a far move. Hopefully buying a home. Anyone close by?

Nekkedtruth,
Wish you were moving a bit closer to Orlando, I am a Realtor and would love to help you find a home. Ocala is bit far for me.lol
Good luck
Rick.
We will be moving to Ocala in July, in a over 55 community, near CR 484 & I-75. Plan on visiting Lake Como alot.

We have found a home with a very private yard and a pool in the Ft McCoy area. Just waiting for the job transfer. Definitely will look you guys up. Seems that Sunny Sands is still the nearest resort.

My wife and I just had a home built in Ocala, Fl.(Silver Springs Shores), and I was wondering if anyone else is from that area. I go down once a month or so to visit, and was wondering if anyone can tell me about Sunny Sands resort which is about a 45 minute drive from my house. It's mush closer than the 2 hour drive I make now to visit the club in Indiana. Is Sunny Sands singles friendly since my wife doesn't join me very often?

ah2, While it's been a few years since I've been to Sunny Sands, I do recall the hiking path that essentially circles the resort. and a one-time pond that dried up during the drought a few years back. And yes, they are reasonably single-friendly. But it pays to call first untill you become a 'known' quantity.
