I know there are a few people on this board that are in Wilma's path. They are probably very busy getting ready and/or leaving the area.
I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to all those folks.

Except for those in the Keys it's not given just where this thing is going to hit so no, most of us are not packing up and leaving yet. It can potentally hit any part of Florida at this stage.
Right now it's kind of a hurry up and wait situation. My parents went camping, will be back tomorrow in time to board up if they need to. The most you can do now is make sure you have bottled water and batteries on hand.

We have relatives in the Gulf and they were hit pretty hard by Charlie. I was glued to the TV and praying the whole time. Somehow they survived in their own closet, but the house did not fare well. They just recently moved back in. I just remember all they had to go through and would not wish it on anyone.
Good Luck to you and yours Cyndiann.

My sister arrived in Cancun Monday afternoon, was scheduled to be there until Friday. After seeing how much (and how quickly) the storm had grown overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, she was the first person at the airport on Wednesday. She did say that Tuesday was beautiful.

With Wilma's slow movement, the Yucatan Penninsula was devastated. One island off of Cancun received around 23 inches of rain, nearly 2 feet.
I wish everyone well on the Yucatan and everywhere that Wilma hit. As we all know, the worst of the storm can be its aftermath.

Well, I live in the Tampa Bay area. Don't think we'll be evacuating, just going to get nasty weather. Of course, they'll probably call us unto the PD for 12 hour shifts. I HATE sleeping there! Ugh! Nothing like sleeping in a room full of people that keep coming and going.

My wife has relatives in so. Miss. and also in Florida in the path of Wilma. She hasn't heard about the condition of the people in Biloxi area, but the ones in Florida left for shelter elsewhere temporary.

Father-in-law in Port Charlotte - 94 years old. Was out of his home for 8 months due to Hurricane Charly. They put them up in a nice facility in Tampa for the duration of the rebuilding but now they have been told, if it happens again, they won't do that again.
Hoping that this storm just dissipates...

I'm on the east coast and the projected path brings the eye just North of me.It's really weird it was beautiful all day but the waiting is the hardest part. But it will be gone this time tomorrow. At least that is what they say.I wish everyone well that might be affected.
