Nude places in NC

Just interested in feedback about any nude places in NC. Could include private resorts / campgrounds or public "unofficial" areas such as the Outer Banks beaches. Primarily just searching for good places to go.

Well, I've been to three places in NC; Bird Island at Sunset Beach, FT. Fisher/Bald Head Island State Park and of course Outer Banks specifically Ocracoke. All three are wonderful places to sunbathe. Ft Fisher/Bald Head Island is great for isolation, Bird Island for more naturists and Ocracoke for their prestine beaches.

Hi -- I have been to Whispering Pines, Bird Island, and Coventry-NC. All are fine places. I personally liked Whispering Pines best... it is a camp ground with a pool, 2 jacuzis, walking trails, etc. You can get a day pass -- single guys need to call first (as with most places). If you are looking for a beach environment, Bird Island is great. It is a pretty good walk to get there though. I was told it was about a quarter mile, but i think it's closer to 3/4 mile from the nearest beach access. Just be sure you go past the sign that says "No nudity past this point" (the sign is to your back as you are walking south). Then you are out of the town limit. Have fun where ever you decide to go.

When I was at Mrytle Beach last Sept., I went to Bird Island. It was on a thursday afternoon and no one was nude there. I walked all the way past the rocks and around the bend. It was the only nice day that whole week. I was hoping for some nude sun bathing but didn't desire to be the only one. There were people there but all had swim suits on.

I went to Cape Lookout two years ago in April. I was a mile or so away from the lighthouse. It was my first time nude in a public place, but was secluded with no one around.
