Our Trip To The Ledges

Hi everyone! My wife and I made it up to the Ledges this past Friday and spent the whole day there swimming and basking naked in the sun in celebration of our twenty-sixth wedding anniversary. Well, the first part of the day was a little cloudy, but the sun did finally come out... We are both in our early/mid forties and we live in uptight Connecticut, and this was something we had wanted to try together for a very long time. What a great, liberating experience - we both agree it was probably our most memorable anniversary trip ever! We look forward to returning soon, and hopefully for many years to come. The parking was great, the bathrooms were plentiful and clean, and everyone that we met was nice. There seemed to be a lot more single men than couples like ourselves, but hopefully that changes sometimes because going nude together is one of the most "together" things that a couple can do, as we so pleasantly found out! We love the Ledges!!!

I agree, The Ledges is a great place. I try to go several times every summer. Wish there was someplace in CT like it...even one place!

I hope to get back up there once more in the next week or so. Anyone interested can p/m me. Only a few weeks left - once the temps drop the water cools off fast!

I grew up in New England and visited The Ledges many times.
My wife is a native floridian and we hope to get up that way before it gets too chilly this fall.

I'm so glad to hear that you both enjoyed a wonderful anniversary together in such a lovely setting!

i keep hearing about the ledges sound like a place i would visit next summer with family but don't know where thay are. know there in new hampshire but where

Errr.. you might be driving around New Hampshire for a long time. The Ledges are located in Vermont.

Yes, sometimes, sadly, it seems that the best thing about CT is that its close to a lot of cool states, like Massachussets, Rhode Island and Vermont. Oh well, at least we get to pay more taxes than they do.

Being nude together absolutely rocked. And everybody was so nice, and respectful, it must be nearly impossible to be an ******* when you're nude!

There is a place (skinnydipping) listed in CT on some of the naturist websites we have looked at, in Nehantic Forest in East Haddam. But its pretty much right up the road from us, and we've never heard it mentioned locally as being for those type of fun activities...

Have fun if you get up there, the water is already getting cold though! We will probably have to wait until next year as we torched through our vacation time already.

my bad wrong state so okay it in vermont but where
we whent to vermont last summer and stayed 5 days at maple glen had a lot of fun but looking for new places to try seem maines getting harder to find a place
so where are the ledges in VERMONT might take a trip out to vermont next summer

I think the Ledges is about one of the most beautiful, nicest, and peaceful nudist venues I have ever visited. Spent an entire week there in July. Stayed at a really pleasant B&B in West Dover and spent my days relaxing and sunning at the Ledges. Very friendly people. A definite must if you have never been. Great way to spend your anniversary.

Your post reminds me of warmer and nicer summer days on this chilly New England day!
