Thought I'd revive an old topic I posted two years ago here.
There are a lot of new people on the forums and it would be interesting to find out what they did for fun.
Heck, it might spark an idea for the rest of uson how we could do something new.

So, fellow nudists what do you like to do for fun?

Depends: In no particular order.

Acting and writing is fun, but also work. So I have ambivilence about them. I enjoy them, they make my soul sing, but they are work and dealing with agents and casting directors blows. I like the doing, but the business end just absolutely blows.

I did really enjoy riding my beat to hell little 350 Honda hell bent for leather around the property, but I had a very bad wipe out, and some severe injuries (did you know that your knee could swell up the size of a large cantalope in 10 seconds and you can still walk on it) and have pledged to Mrs USMC, no more motor cycles.

Genealogy is my hobby, and I enjoy that a lot, but tend to be compulsive and over achieving and get frustrated because I can't trace my family back to its first cave. But, have made some astounding discoveries.

I read a ton, last month's reads were Born Fighting and Assasssin's Gate (non-fiction), and Cell (fiction) and a short story anthology.
Now I've started John Irving's latest, Until I Find You.

We rent lots of videos, and enjoy cooking. All the great chef's are men.

And love laying out working on a tan and splashing around a pool with a bunch of other nakid folks.

I also really enjoy hanging around with my dogs..panting, drooling, sniffing around, scratching, napping and barking at the coyotes.

And, I get a kick out of disputation with a couple of the yardbirds here. UnFREEKING believable what the right wing can come up with.

Is that you, or the dogs doing all that stuff? http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/tongue.gif

For me, I enjoy chatting/debating with my wife, reading, playing video games, searching the web, and hanging with the neighbours when I can.

sounds like fun there usmc1. i also love barking at the neighbors dogs.
since moving into the city after many years away i have rediscovered an old joy; on a snowy night slipping out and putting nitrae down on the neighbours lawns and sitting back and watch them mow that grass every 4--5 days in spring and summer.
when not doing this i love to read in winter, fish and hike in spring, set around and drink iced tea and soak the sun in summer.

Wife and i really enjoy NUDE NIGHT WALKING around our farm, preferably with friend/s. Walking around the ridges on a dark night hearing foxes bark, night birds screech, occasionally the growling of wombats, kangaroos hopping away in fright. On moonlit nights seeing the shadows of the hills arounds us. If we walk up near the woolshed, we sometimes see fire flies but we stopped going there after discovering that five dingoes live in that area. Some people worry about treading on a snake in the dark - we don't worry because snakes like the hot sun and always go to bed at night.

Than back home and a quick skinny dip before bed.

For fun I Whitewater canoe, hike, and ride horses. Now I'm going to try fly fishing, it's fun, I did a little bit last summer.

Oh yeah, play pool. That too.

Doing work naked is even fun.

Most enjoy my nude hikes every day after lunch. My wife hasn't had much outside-of-the-house volunteer work lately; so, she's been hiking with me and doesn't like to do it with me nude. So, I usually go out later if I have the time after doing some chores (naked).

Love to boat naked. Though we don't own a boat yet, we do own PWC's. We've Seadoo'd naked up and down the Colorado River between Laughlin and Havazu. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif Well.....almost naked....we do wear PFD's (personal floating devices-life jackets) http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/beam.gif

Playing on the computer is a favorite, indoor, non-spectator sport. But in the summer, canoeing and visiting various (naturists) clubs/resorts is fun. Mostly go camping when there. Current plans include the InterFuse Midwest Burning Man Festival in May. Will be thinking of all of you in these forums.

Hiya, christy here. My boyfriend has a boat, and we go boating alot, and jet skiing. We also love our private back yard with the pool, to work on our tans. We like to travel too, and we are both into hiking. In may, we are going to arizona.

James,
I used to have possums get in my oak tree all the time. The tree was big with a big hole where he used to sleep. By the light of the moon I could see his beady eyes shining in the darkness.

Our Southern possums are distant cousin to the marsupials you have in Australia. Science folks say that when all the southern continents were squeezed together in one big landmass, some of the early marsupials roamed on dry ground from what is now Australia to what is now South America and Antarctica.

Well they stayed in South America for millions of years until volcanoes created a land bridge to North America and the possums and several other creatures from down under waddled their way into my back yard.

So I guess I am trying to say in a round about way that I enjoy nature study, especially when I can do it naturally!

I'm sure some of my relatives think I have gone bonkers when they hear what we get up to - clothes free.

Trailscout - where I live we do not have many possums, there might be a lot in the 4,000ft mountain behind our farm but they don't come down to the farm. Possums are a big pest in cities in Australia, e.g. Sydney, where they live and get into the roofs of houses and scamper about at night waking people up. In New Zealand they are a national pest, there are millions and millions of them there and I think they have a huge eradication campagne in progress

We live in the country because we love the open air, closeness to nature and the freedom to do what we want.

I like to hug a horse
clothes free of course,
For pleasures sake
I jump in a lake,
All animals are nude
and they don't think it's rude

So why should I worry
why should I dress,
when it's pleasure I seek
the air on my skin
my clothes in the bin
and my spirit so high
to enjoy life with a grin.

SORRY - thats a bit corny

Volleyball...this is my passion. Sand, grass, indoors...I love it all. Watching others playing when I can't is like torture.
Running and mountain biking are a close second along with weight lifting now.

Reading. I am an information junkie. I love fiction but probably one of my favorite things to do is to pour over news magazines and other current events kinds of periodicals. I keep files on things I pick up from there; generally on movies, books, music and restaurants.

While leads me to next set of favorites.

Movies/ Indie/classics/abscure...anything that has me thinking about the movie for more than an hour afterwards I see as a good movie that has done its job.

Food/drink: going out to eat of for coffee is one of my favorite (although not my wallet's favorite) past times. I am ok with the fancy dinner on a Saturday night but I really prefr a unique casual place for food along with a good unique beer list.

Working outdoors. I am about to sell my house and go condo and the one thing that I am really dreading is that nice 2 hours every week that I get to think and unwind while mowing the yard and working in the garden. I am going to have to work out a deal with the city where they let me work in the parks or do yardwork in the cemetary to keep my sanity.

Gymnastics: I know this sounds weird...I used to do gymnastics as a kid through early adult years. It is something that gets in your blood and ask any ex-gymnasts and I am sure they will agree that one really misses the weird endorphines or rush of teetering on the edge of danger and enjoyment as you hurl your body recklessly through the air. I missed my calling of owning my own gym or becoming certified as a judge but heck, there is always a second career around the corner.
