In case anyone is interested, there are some special events this summer at Turtle Lake Resort in Union city, MI.

Antique & Classic Car Show
Saturday, June 28
Gate opens 8:00 AM
$15 W/ Car entry per couple
$25 WO/ Car entry per couple
Borrow a car to enter; you'll get in cheaper.

Family Weekend with different events
July 4-6

Music Fest Dance Party
July 11-12
Normal ground and camping fees

Motorcycle Rally
August 23
Gate opens 8:00 AM
$15 W/ Bike per couple
$25 WO/ Bike per couple
Borrow a Bike to enter for the same reason as above.

I e-mailed Turtle Lake Resort about having a summer membership fee for those who can't afford the yearly fee, and who would only come there in the summer anyway. You can now avoid the $800 yearly fee and pay $300 for a 3 month membership or $500 for a 6 month membership.

They also have two log cabins and many trailers and mobile homes for sale there. Turtle Lake Resort has been sold and is under new management.

Thanks for all the information. I really wanted to go to the car show, but we're having a golf outing that day. I'll make it there for some of the other ones. Have they put any chairs out by the pond yet? There wasn't any out when I was there two weeks ago.

Yes, Mel, the furniture is finally out. I've been there four times in the last eight days. I'm going every day that the weather is good enough while I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for my home to sell so I can move to Georgia. This weekend was great! I was there until about 9:30 PM Saturday and Sunday. I spent 11 hours there one day and still hated to leave. I get a lot of nude bicycle riding in when I'm there. Why would anyone want to wear clothes if they don't have to?
